Why does FF freeze up or slow load on Mint? (lemmyhub.com)

Recently made the switch to Mint from Windows. I am having a problem with FF though. Randomly but very frequently I see your most basic page load very slow if not at all. I have disabled hardware acceleration as some research has suggested but it still has the same issue. This happens on both my laptop and desktop.

Can you give more information about your setup/system and firefox installation/version? ESR? Flatpak? DEB?
Can you give any steps for others to reproduce/compare your issue?

A first good ideas is always to create a second seperate profile (for example via about:profiles) and see if your issue can be reproduced with a fresh one without any modifications. The result will give a solid hint if your problem is profile or browser/system related.
