yes, and that is true for both parties...

Which would be relevant if the republicans wanted to replace Trump. In fact, most of them seem pretty thrilled that Biden is sticking around, wonder why?

God I wish I had a reddit account that wasn't banned just so I could respond to everybody asking "why isn't anybody calling for trump to drop out?" with "BECAUSE HES FUCKING WINNING YOU DUMB SHIT"

It's literally they're answer to ukraine.

The war will end when Russia gives up and goes home despite waging a three year long successful military campaign.

The election will be fair when Trump drops out.

Liberals aren't even capable of entertaining the thought of meaningful opposition. They're entire plan is just to say they're opponents should concede to them because it would be rude not to.

Liberals ultimate endgame strategy is saying "you have no idea how bad this makes you look" after a fascist kneels them down at the edge of the mass grave they just willingly dug (don't wanna appear lazy or disrespectful by not following the orders of an elected pfficial)

These fucking libs literally think them wanting something is more than enough reason for that thing to be the new top priority of everybody in the country.

What point should we pretend you've made here?

Trumps not the one scolding leftists for not voting for him. He's not trying to win that vote

[–] SacredExcrement@hexbear.net 16 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

I dunno, Biden et all scolding anyone left of Reagan tells me he's not really trying either lmao

[–] Egon@hexbear.net 12 points 1 year ago

Fair point. A good amount of libs do say they don't need our votes, or that leftists are such a small niche insignificant group that we don't matter anyway. They typically say this before or after begging for votes.

So you would support replacing Trump with a different figurehead and keeping his team?

[–] crawancon@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago (2 children)

fair question - after giving it a bit of thought, in this case I wouldn't. more thought led to conclusion that despite not liking numerous policies, etc., I'd trust or have replaced the head of any OTHER team in modern history and be ok. going back to maybe Nixon or LBJ as Im pretty ignorant to his cabinet but any association to A dulles or JEHoover is a pile of shit to me.

[–] readmore@hexbear.net 25 points 1 year ago (2 children)

What are you on about? You’d happily replace Bush and keep his team (Cheney, Rumsfeld, etc) around?

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 21 points 1 year ago

This is the opposite of a good argument.

I can't imagine a more disqualifying statement than "the real problem with the George Bush administration was Bush, his cabinet was fine"

He was a literally lightning rod who would soak up media attention by golfing and throwing out first pitches while his cabinet dragged us into multiple colonial wars.

This is the problem with satire is it can't stack up to a genuine dogshit take like this. Like I couldn't even sarcastically come up with a dumber statement.

[–] crawancon@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

not happily but yeah. GW was a hard one to swallow for sure, but even his team was better without their head piece than anything under trump.

[–] Cowbee@hexbear.net 17 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You need to listen to Blowback, and you'll fucking hate his team of war criminals.

[–] Evilsandwichman@hexbear.net 12 points 1 year ago

If he's a liberal no he won't.

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 20 points 1 year ago

That's an awful lot of fucking words to say "actually I thought about it and yes it's ok when my guy does it but bad when they do it"

[–] comrade_pibb@hexbear.net 27 points 1 year ago

what's your point

[–] MayoPete@hexbear.net 15 points 1 year ago
[–] Evilsandwichman@hexbear.net 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Except republican voters are getting a candidate they actually want, the rest of us are simply getting 'not Trump'.

Republicans seem to consistently get the candidates they want, and we're just getting 'not the Republican candidate'.

[–] crawancon@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

I wish i could argue that!
