The astronauts aren't stranded, the teams just want to study the thrusters on-orbit, since they can't study them afterwards. Humour at Boeing's expense is quite popular at the moment though.

Wow, good eye. I believe you're correct. I guess the desert in the upper right is Libya and Egypt.
