Relocate your capital deep into china behind some mountain ranges
get Russia or Spain or the Sikhs as allies.
let them bleed themselfs dry with their landings and make sure that you land yourself where they have their breakthroughs..
Conquer Burma before.
new update makes it not possible to form such relations with russia until after opium war events concludes
I just tried it again with some of the advice from this thread. Got absolutely stomped. Nothing I try can overcome my troops having 7 defense and their troops having 30 offense. Try the reddit. It looks like most of the people in this thread haven't played on the new patch.
havent played it since the update sorry if outdated..
