To be fair Chinese food in Europe doesn't have much to do with actual Chinese food either
Dude I had sweet and sour chicken at a Chinese food joint in a mall in chemnitz Germany, it was a friggin schnitzel. Just with sweet sour sauce. And instead of potatoes it was a ball of rice lol. I found the picture I took here ๐คฃ:
If I wasn't paying attention, looks like katsu curry until I notice the sauce looks like pure sugar. But ya nowadays everyone's got their schnitzel variant ๐
Depends on the restaurant, but in general - yes, proper Chinese is rare.
