BREAKING: Cuba intercepted an illegal speedboat one nautical mile off of its coast early Wednesday morning. When approached by Cuban personnel, the speedboat opened fire and wounded the commander of the Cuban boat. The ensuing shootout also resulted in four killed and six injured on the violating speedboat’s side. The offending speedboat had Florida license plate registration.

Hamzah Abushaban, the cousin of Palestinian protester Leqaa Kordia, joins Eugene Puryear and Rania Khalek to demand her release from ICE detention. After nearly a year behind bars, Leqaa’s case has become a flashpoint for the debate on free speech and the treatment of Palestinian activists in the U.S. Born in East Jerusalem, Leqaa Kordia was initially arrested during the 2024 Gaza solidarity protests at Columbia University. Though those charges were dropped, she was re-detained months later during a routine immigration check-in in New Jersey and transferred to a facility in Texas. Despite two judges ordering her release on bond, she remains in custody — isolated, and recently hospitalized after suffering her first-ever seizure while shackled. Abushaban explains the devastating toll of her detention, noting that Kordia has already lost more than 200 family members in the genocide in Gaza. "The only crime she committed was being Palestinian," he says. "She simply exercised her First Amendment right." #breakthroughnews

After a historic general strike, a national shutdown, and weeks of protests and nationwide outrage, the Trump administration has called off Operation Metro Surge, the largest federal immigration enforcement campaign in recent U.S. history, which deployed thousands of ICE and Border Patrol agents to Minnesota. Over the last year I have had to confront the reality that Fascists are actively operating in my community, preparing to bring about a violent race war. From running across some local Patriot Front members bannering in my hood, to finding a calling card at a gun range, their activity is undeniable, but the dark realities of this ideology are now making itself just as undeniable. In this video I want to try to appeal to men who have been lead down the path of joining rightwing extremist groups, and try to help anyone who wants to join me in taking on the work of helping deconstruct these self-destructive belief systems. We'll talk about the latest tactics and news from the front line of American fascism, Minneapolis Minnesota, then take a higher level look at the shape of fascism, and the ways authoritarian leaders groom men into these groups by exploiting their insecurities, trauma, and basic survival needs. Then I'll break down an interaction I had with a local White Supremacist group, give an overview of their violent history, and show the contrast between what they do in public, vs what they do in the shadows.
