Vancouver came 41st on list of cities with the most centi-millionaires and billionaires

A copy of the petition provided to the media says Surrey is seeking an order quashing the July 19 decision by the B.C. solicitor general that directs Surrey to continue the police transition.

When it comes to addressing the housing crisis, few people think about zoning. The correlation isn’t easily apparent, despite this being the most powerful tool cities have.

A few weeks/months ago when I was active here, I remember there were more daily posts and each daily post got more comments.

I more or less stopped posting out of protest for lemmy.ca policies regarding defederation for political reasons (as if complaining about landlords isn't half the reason this community exists) and I come back to see that things are much slower here.

What happened?

Edit: I'll be revving up my posts again, because I really do want to see this community thrive even if I don't like what the lemmy.ca admins are doing.

The search for a missing 55-year-old woman has ended with the discovery of her remains in Vancouver’s Southlands neighborhood.

Vancouver Police launched an investigation into the disappearance of Tracy Pickett on September 27, after she was reported missing from her home by a family member.

Earlier today, Tracy’s body was found by VPD officers who were searching for her in the area.

Vancouver Police will work with the BC Coroner’s Service, who will determine the cause of Tracy’s death. At this stage of the investigation, Tracy’s death does not appear to be the result of a crime and there is no public safety risk.
