This list doesn't make any sense. I don't understand how Saudi Arabia does not make the top 10 with so many people traveling to make a pilgrimage to Mecca, and how does Hong Kong make the top 10 but China as a whole does not?

Malaysia received 10.1 million foreign arrivals in the first quarter of this year, making it the most visited country in Southeast Asia, thanks to its visa relaxation policies.

I recently spent a day exploring Cologne on foot — and it was unforgettable. From the towering Kölner Dom to the romantic Hohenzollern Bridge, the riverside walk, panoramic city views at KölnTriangle, and even the Chocolate Museum... every step was worth it.

If you're planning a short trip or stopover, I wrote a detailed guide that takes you through the best of Cologne in a single day — with history, local food, and walking tips.

Curious if you’ve walked a similar route or discovered hidden spots I missed. Would love to hear your Cologne tips too!

I'm a single mother and me and my only child will be moving to Thailand Hua hin from America next yr .I don't want her to be lonely(she loves people and making new friends) I will be home schooling her because schools out there is too expensive. But she will need a daycare or kids program to be able to have other children to play with.Is there any thing like that in Hua hin thailand?

Or perhaps you'd prefer the sangria and chocolate flavoured ones?

My current backpack's zipline finally gave up it's service after almost 5 years of usage, and I'm looking for a new one. I haven't ever used a premium backpack per say, but after some searching I have found some good looking candidates for a daily commuter / shorter travelling backpack.

  • Thule Paramount 24L
  • Thule Paramount 27L
  • Fjällräven Räven 28
  • Fjällräven High Coast Foldsack 24

What are your experiences with Thule and Fjällräven backpacks? My backpack surely needs to be atleast 24L, because on my commuting days the backpack is filled up with a laptop, mice, headphones, and a gym bag (clothing + shoes)

I've been getting into self hosting, the fediverse, and federated blogging. I contacted freaking nomads and they suggested that I write about my experiences, so here it is! I hope you enjoy.

Comments aren't fully federated from the blog site, so I'm using mastodon as well.

I'm trying my hand at federated blogging! Here's a bit on some things that I got rid of and some things that I added while traveling as a nomad.

These are my AllBirds after 1 year of travel. I've been looking to repair the soles, but it doesn't seem that easy. I want shoes that ventilate well and are good for a lot of walking.

These started showing wear after 3 months of just city walking.

Any recommendations? I'm posting here because there isn't much on the shoe communities.

I want to go to Egypt, Cairo specifically, but I hate people getting all up in my face.

I've been to places where they approach you and bother you but will leave it you tell them you are not interested. I heard in Egypt they will insist even after you tell them to go away and I'm worried I will end up headbutting some Egyptian seller/scammer and get into very serious problems.

Should I not go?

We spent the whole day in Pyongyang and visited:

Mansudae Fountain Park
Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum
Juche Tower
Pyongyang Metro
Mangyongdae Children's Palace
Pyongyang Circus

Cost of a five-day tour to the DPRK: $1378.

The five-day tour included 4 flights (Vladivostok - Pyongyang - Orang - Pyongyang - Vladivostok), accommodation, meals, excursion program (Pyongyang and Chilbo), visa, insurance. Some entertainment is paid for additionally ($20 - circus, $7 boat ride, etc.).

So I had to cancel some travel plans some time ago, and I have a travel voucher with Air Canada. What would be the best way to search for deals to use my voucher on?

Air Canada's site has very few options to help find the best value, and other sites I've tried don't let you limit to a specific airline AND allow the flexibility options I want at the same time.
