I have been trying everything with all kinds of settings with qbittorrent and nothing has worked, is my torrent dead?

Hello folks. First sorry for my english. Well I just setup all the arrs, including autobrr and cross-seed. Now I'm trying to automate the deletion of public and already well seeded private torrents (low space). I check several tools but I think I fall in love with tqm, I really like all the control it provide so I really want to understand all the options. The problem is I didnt found any detailed help.

If someone can point me to any web or video article I will be eternally gratefull.

I understand:

  • ignore
  • pause
  • remove (mostly)

I don't:

  • Differences and uses of label and tags.
  • update: looks like a filter, only apply this tag or label if all conditions are meet.
  • "sonarr-imported" where that come from. I know in Rad/Sonarr you can configure the client to change the torrent category after importing so maybe Label == Category but not sure.
  • lot other details.

What's my goal:

  • Seed public torrent for 3 days but whit a limited upload speed.
  • Seed private torrents for at least a month and only delete when the drive space gets low deleting the oldest (if possible). I can manage de deletion manually but I will like at least that tqm manage tagging the already well seeded torrents.
  • Permaseed low seeders count torrents.
  • Remove not registered on tracker torrents (SeedPool remove single files when a complete season exist, don't know others).
  • The most important part, just to learn.

Private trackers (if you need to know):

  • Old Toons World
  • Milkie
  • Hawke-uno
  • SeedPool
  • Torrentleech

I'm not asking for someone to do my job but if you have a working instance of tqm and can provide some examples I will be very gratefull.

Note: Not IA post, so please no hate 👍️

I really cannot afford a VPN, and I know that there are many risks to downloading torrents without one. I am in Thailand, and from some googling it seems that the chance of any legal stuff affecting me is slim. I have downloaded a few files over the past few days and have been fine.

I am more worried about safety though. Much like VPNs I also cannot afford a paid antivirus and is at risk if any virus actually gets on my device. Currently I'm only torrenting videos from 1337x, which I think are pretty safe, and I make sure to not run any unknown executable files(haven't seen any yet though). Is doing this enough to keep me safe? Or am I still at risk?

Also, this concern had led me to not seed at all after leeching in order to keep the time that I'm connected as short as possible. I know it's not ethical to do this but I have read that seeders are easier to "catch" especially with no VPN like me.

Just like the title says, I'm a huge fan of MovieBox for re-watching films. The app's interface is slick, and it has a massive library that's perfect for when I want to revisit an old favorite. I always head to the theater for the first viewing—nothing beats that cinematic experience—but for a second or third time, a great streaming app is essential. I'm wondering if there are any other apps out there that might be even better. What do you all use and love for re-watching movies? Any suggestions for an app that could outdo MovieBox in terms of library size, streaming quality, or user experience?

I’m recognising a pattern, specifically now. Whenever I try download a torrent of a larger file size (in this case, about 100GiB), the torrent download speed randomly always drops to like 1kb/s or less…like indefinitely. It’s not a seeding issue - there are hundreds/thousands of seeders for this specific torrent. It’s not an internet issue (speed tested, download maxes set, other torrents download fine, etc). What could be the problem?

That's what I read on their GitHub page. I was looking for software similar to Hatt for torrents.

Hey everyone! I'm using the torrentgalaxy.one mirror and every time I use the sort function by seed it glitches. Does anyone have a better mirror to use or a workaround? Thank you

I'm looking for a good/cheap long-term way to seed massive archives (20TB and growing) without burning out my home NAS. I want to keep sharing the full archive, mostly private tracker stuff, but my local setup is starting to choke on the load, especially at 24/7 and the power bills that come with it.

I thought about moving the whole thing to a high-capacity seedbox (some go up to 100TB or more) and offloading the stress from my hardware entirely. I used to run a smaller 6TB setup on AppBox and they do have higher capacity options BUT they're still a bit too expensive to pay monthly for me (https://www.appbox.co/).

So ideally, I'd want to automate syncing new files via rclone or Nextcloud, keep things seeding full-time via ruTorrent/qBittorrent, and still have access for remote streaming or file management. And save as much as possible.

So if you have a fully remote setup for long-term seeding, how are you doing it? What works better in terms of stability, bandwidth, tracker compliance, and so on?

New to Private Trackers and I'm not getting much upload traffic despite having tens of torrents going across several trackers.

A few trackers have issues where the announcers are showing as "Working" but "Rate Limit Exceeded. Please Wait"

I use VPN - so could it be an issue with the IP being used heavily?

Main Question is - Is this a problem? will it affected my ability to seed?

I wanted to install a few Total War games (Napoleon, Empire and Medieval II) via torrent. When I tried to launch Napoleon, it didn’t work, Medieval II said that there’s an error, and Empire didn’t even download, because uTorrent didn’t accept the file.

I’ve already played Napoleon on my old laptop with Windows 10 installed, using exact same torrent file from exact same site.

Is the problem in my antivirus or version? Is there a software that can help to run these games?

Lately, I've noticed that new episodes from a show, especially those on Netflix, Paramount, or Amazon, are no longer appearing in 4K HDR, as they used to. Did something happen? For context, I usually watch on Stremio on my Google TV using Real Debrid.

Surf Shark has worked well in the past, but suddenly lately nothing is downloading. I just tried some test torrents, and nothing. Neither magnet links nor torrent files are working. I'm stuck with Xfinity for ISP and they spam me with nastygrams whenever I torrent without a VPN. Any tips on troubleshooting this? Is Surf Shark having issues?

I want to use Transmission on my Mac with Proton VPN.

Do I need to link Transmission to the VPN or can I just flip the VPN on and use Transmission?

Does anyone know how to link Proton to Transmission?

Thanks in advance

I’ve been using Windscribe for a while and I’ve gotten three emails over the past year telling me to stop torrent or that they caught me torrenting something. I’m confused because this used to always be fool proof. I use Qbitorrent and I’m smart about it. I’m not sure how Spectrum keeps getting me.

I run a small self-hosted server at home (basic Ubuntu box with qBittorrent and Nginx for file serving), but my upload speeds are garbage, and with new laws in my country I'll also have to worry about the ISP and what they think about the seeding.

But even without these issues, for the next few weeks I'll have to share a few large personal .torrent files (let's say 200GB each) with a private group. So I’d need something that can stay online 24/7 without killing my local connection.

So my first thought is just get a cheap seedbox for uploading and long-term seeding, maybe from Appbox because they have services under $10.

But I also need decent storage (200-400GB), qBittorrent or rTorrent support, and something I can script or trigger remotely. So anyone who's done something like this, please tell me what the easiest/cheapest/safest way to go is. Budget is a bit of a concern but not too much. As long as it works!
