With the summer sale only 17 days away probably best to start holding off on new game purchases.

Recently purchased a 1TB sabrent card to upgrade my deck's internal storage. I know I could flash a fresh SteamOS image, but since I have an M2 adapter, it would be great if I could just clone the old drive instead, allowing me to keep the games I've downloaded and other software I've installed.

Does anyone have any suggestions for tools or tips for doing this? Thanks in advance!

I just bought the 64Gb model and a 2Tb drive (will be about a week to get delivered).

What are some essential accessories to pair with the steam deck?

I mainly stream games from my desktop via Steam. Is there a good software to manage my non-steam games so I can play them remotely via Steam (to automate the process of adding the games/launchers to Steam)?

For me I'm currently trying to push my way through elden ring. But gosh it sure gets hard half way through, especially underleveled and offline. I need to find that mimic summon.

Other than that, cycling through local coop games like PlateUp. Any suggestions?

Does anyone’s deck audio cut out when docked? Mine does this every so often. Wondering if there’s a fix for this.

I got my steamdeck at the end of Q3 2022.

Then I tried different games on it that were not necessarily advertised as working.

One of these was x4. Now, x4 in september 2022 was a really tough thing to play on the deck. even at the lowest settings, I would get around 10 fps. (A couple of months later I tried Elite:Dangerous and it ran surprisingly smooth.)

Fast forward to last month, a new patch for x4 and surprise! The devs put in some elbow grease and the game is playable on my steam deck. Sure, no max level detail eyecandy but it runs acceptable and loads fairly well. I think this is a very nice example of how this piece of kit stimulated a company to look at some optimizations.

Anybody got any other examples of games seemingly optimized during their lifecycle for or because of the steam deck?
