Steam Deck

Was wondering if any of yall have tried or are currently playing this game on steamdeck. Also wondering if those of you who have played/are playing it think the standard steamdeck controls are just fine or if I should go ahead and look at getting a keyboard to play this game. Just basically wondering and figured I'd ask yall before spending money on this game

Received the Steam Deck OLED Limited Edition on Tuesday, and the Anbernic RG Arc S on Friday. Details in the comments! (Note for Mods - while I have this posted in three subs with same title/picture/caption, the actual comment in each thread is different, tailored to the sub it was posted in).

Picked up the Limited Edition OLED and it is awesome. However, someone here brought up a great point about repairability. Has Valve given any indication that repair parts of equal quality/design would be available for the limited edition model?

I understand the concept that it's limited, but it would suck to suffer cosmetic damage or a dead analog stick with the orange color and not be able to get something to replace it with. Genuinely considering returning it for the plain 1 TB model instead because of this.

I’ve been wanting to get a case to protect my new investment. What’re some of the best cases (compatible with the steamdeck OLED? What have you been using? I hear good things about the dbrand killswitch case. I had found a no name brand hard case on Amazon I had ordered along with a silicone case. The hard case had a kickstand similar to that of the Nintendo Switch OLED design (albeit plastic) which I am a big fan of. After testing the case I was extremely disappointed in the build quality and how difficult it was to remove when it was on the device (actually ended up breaking the plastic latches. As for the silicone case, it faired better, but the cutout for the screen wasn’t exact and annoyingly covered up parts of the display.

Also, I wanted to know what your experiences have been with battery banks and the deck. Particularly if any of you have used the Antank with the magnetic backplate. As I’ve heard that (at least in the old LCD models) magnetized accessories could mess with the fan.

Any other accessories you’d recommend?

In the controller test in gaming mode, it is not recognized when I press it, but in desktop mode's input menu, the button will always say it is pressed, even though it isn't pressed down. I have it updated to the current version if that means anything. Would it be worth it to try a factory reset or is there another solution? I'm hoping to avoid opening it up if possible as I worry about damaging anything.

Asking this here because when I google it I just get stuff about full length recordings, has anyone figured out a way to clip or briefly record gameplay moments sort of like the xbox game bar can on pc?

Would anybody recommend the steam deck thru ebay? To me it sounds super risky but I have a nice pc, my sole interest in the steam deck is for emulation while I lay in bed lmao. A couple scratches and an old battery wouldnt bother me. I just don't quite know the durability, or really too much of the steam deck or ebay to throw money at it completely comfortably. Any advice appreciated! I'm seeing steam decks on ebay for like 150-200.

Side note: ik you can Bluetooth controllers but then I gotta prop my phone up. I don't want the 3rd party connect ur phone to the controller either, they are always so cheap feeling and I don't mind shelling out a lil extra dough.
