Does anyone know where it starts and is it even known in advance? There's a few games I want to buy, and I am unsure if it's worth waiting for the sale or not

I have my store preferences set to only display games available on MacOS, so on the main store page that is what I see. But all I’d the sales and different categories show everything.

I do not care if a game that does not run on my os is on sale, or even available.
