Alright dudes, what's going on in groovetown?

I thought it might be a good idea to grab this on the UK Feddit instance, before some smegger comes along and camps it.

If you're one of the mods from that other place that rhymes with "Teddit" - reach out to me here or over there, and i'll make you a mod.

Smoke me a kipper i'll be back for breakfast..

Frames are fetched from Smega Drive.

From About the Smega Drive:

1,625,013 frames and 33,003 subtitles have been smashed together into what might be the most important website on the entire Internet. We are proud to present to you The Smega-Drive, a complete archive of Red Dwarf screenshots, and meme maker to boot.

So, it works like this. We've based the indexing and the search system on the subtitles from the DVDs / Blu-Rays, so you can look for a quote (or a small part of a quote) and with any luck you will find the subtitle screen you need, along with previews of frames that that subtitle covers. Alternatively, you can use the episode browser.

Hi. I was messaging a friend earlier and managed to amuse/embarrass them so they replied "DEAD" and "I CAN'T TURN OFF CAPS LOCK BECAUSE I AM NOW A GHOST".

So I remind her that even a soft light hologram has a physical light bee and they could shimmy about until they hit the right button.

This is from Red Dwarf, right? Was Rimmer trying to turn off a rogue scutter but couldn't touch it, and Ace reminds him after hilarity ensues that actually yes he could have? I tried to find a clip or anything but came up short. Cheers if you can name it.

Are You Bring Served? used to air on PBS here after the local news and I watched it for years. Then one night Red Dwarf either replaced it, or came on after it. I was hooked from the first second. This was somewhere 89-91.

In 99 my ex and I had a kid and while pregnant and on my ex would only watch Red Dwarf. She had the box set, I think s1-7. She watched it so much I had to replace tapes for her. I got so sick of the show I have only watched an episode here and there for the last 25 years.

A few months ago I signed up for BritBox so I could rewatch AYBS and Keeping Up Appearances, but ended up starting Red Dwarf again. Last night I got into s8 for the first time ever.

Co-creator of the cult hit sci-fi comedy Red Dwarf, Rob Grant, has announced that he is currently working on a brand new prequel project, to be called Red Dwarf: Titan.

...

This comes after a legal dispute over the rights to the show was resolved earlier this year, with the show's co-creators, Grant and Doug Naylor, both being able to continue working separately on Red Dwarf in different media.

...

Shortly after this, Naylor said he thought the show was likely to return to screens at some point, adding that there's "real interest".

Naylor said: "Providing the boys are available, which isn’t the easiest thing because they’ve all got these mad schedules, especially Craig [Charles] and Robert [Llewellyn].

"But provided we can get everyone available and they do all want to be available, they want to make more, I think we’ve got a good chance."

New Red Dwarf designer Mark Harris is a remarkable talent. As a production designer you'll have recently seen his work on the animated series Gerry Anderson's New Captain Scarlet, but check out his history and you'll find everything from James Bond - Quantum of Solace, Die Another Day and The World Is Not Enough - to deep space adventures like Event Horizon and Star Wars.

I don't know when or why that happened, but it did

Previously I watched it on Crackle, but, it's not on there anymore.
