I only ever lurked. The real reason I joined kbin is because I was looking for a fediverse version of a forum; I used to be active on some and miss 'em. Mostly animal and play by post rpg communities.

Another news article from lemmy.world that attempts to subvert the American media narrative about authoritarianism in Russia. If the Fediverse hopes to be a welcome alternative to Reddit, letting more Russian state articles filter through is not a good start.

How does one make new threads in Kbin? I am a VERY new user.

It's been a fun and interesting week watching Reddit burn itself to the ground. I am starting to get really comfortable in the #Fediverse. It took awhile but I really like how there are so many different instances and options. I love that I can pick something like #kbin but see posts across #lemmy, #beehaw and #mastodon. Even if Reddit fixes everything at this point and backs off the API changes, I don't really see a reason to go back.

That die in the sidebar made me think how long it’s been since I’ve held a real one at a table, playing Monopoly with friends and such.

These few busy months can’t fly by soon enough.
