Even after all of these years, the intro still impresses me every time I listen to it.

I couldn't get into the first book (album), but the second one was easily my favorite album of 2021.

It may be an unpopular opinion, but I think Asymmetry is my favorite Karnivool album. As much as I love Sound Awake, I feel like this is their most coherent album. Here's just hoping we can get some more material from them soon.

I am really excited for the upcoming album. I enjoyed the last single, but this one is amazing. Baroness always nails the use of harmony and this song is no exception there; both in terms of guitar and vocals. I'm not sure yet what to compare it to, but I'm a huge fan of the vocal style in the verse.

I’m slowly making my way through Between the Buried and Me’s discography and having a lot of fun. The Great Misdirect was the album that got me into them. I’m curious what everyone’s favorite album is from them and why. Right now mine would probably be The Parallax I or The Great Misdirect, but that could change soon! I also haven’t really gotten too much into Colors for some reason but hope to sometime soon.

I've never listened to Baroness, but just looking at the album titles and covers, I like the chromatic idea of having each album be a different color. Should I listen in order of release date? Also, I read some opinions that the later albums have atrocious mixing. Is this true? Does it really take away from the music?

Found this band just a few weeks ago and really like this album.

The new solo album by Leprous frontman Einar Solberg is pretty great imo. This is the heaviest track, with Ihsahn doing some harsh vocals.

Apparently BTBAM is not allowed on the new progressive metal sub on Reddit for some reason. But this will always be my favorite song from one of my favorite albums of all time

Went to the Dreamsonic 2023 Tour this week in Philly and had a blast! About 3.5 hours of epic prog music. Animals as Leaders were technically magnificent as always, Dream Theater once again knows how to wow, even if Labrie is getting a bit shaky on the vocals. Devin Townsend though was the highlight of the night for me with his incredible vocal skills and showmanship. Wish the venue was a little more "lively", but all in all a killer performance from all. Anybody else go or is going?
