First thing I need to do is say how much I love the interviews that Tyler Cowen does. The topics range widely, and yet the questions are always remarkably well-informed, unique, and interesting. Honestly the greatest interviewer I know of. Give it a listen.

Secondly I'm curious if anyone else has an interviewer (who does podcasts?) that they would recommend.

In this episode, Dan McQuillan (Goldsmiths Department of Computing) critiques AI from an informed, technical basis. We explore the risks of currently existing models, from shaping our subjectivities to eradicating marginalized groups. And finally, Dan makes the case for an anti-fascist alternative – radical care as the antidote to careless tech-solutionism.

Got a general interest in self hosted/open source software. Would love a podcast that talks about some of the trending applications out there.

While UnderUnderstood feels more like the spiritual successor to Gimlet's Reply All, the co-hosts of Hard Fork (Kevin Roose and Casey Newton) banter in a way that reminds me of P. J. Vogt and Alex Goldman.

A "utopian leftist comedy podcast." I've been listening to them for about a year, and they may be my favorite podcast. I love the ideas they explore and their sense of humor

Good evening all,

I recently finished listening to a great podcast called The Downtime Project which discusses post-mortems from large companies. The hosts analyze the root causes of the outage, what the company did well, and what the company could have done better.

I found this format fascinating and learned how to approach complex systems and identify some shortcomings in my own systems that I manage.

Unfortunately, it looks like there's only one season currently and I'd like to see if there's anything similar that anyone else is listening to.

Formats similar to this would be awesome, but anything tech-related would peak my interest!
