I drew this in Photoshop in ~3 hours using a reference. I tried to keep the color pallet pretty minimal. Thanks for checking it out!

Just felt like making a new profile picture tonight and decided to share it with the Lemmings around here.

That was hard... Compressing a lot of features into a 16x16 canvas. Sure there is room for improvement. But I liked how it turned out in the end.

My character that represents me is a young anime tomboyish kinda girl.

I, obviously, am not. Closed the gap a little.

I drew the left one on March 16 2022, and the right one on July 22 2023. So there is like one year and 4 months between them. Overall I feel good about it. Also, I really struggled with the hands... The eyes monsters (obviously inspired by The Eye of Cthulu from Terraria) could use a lot of improvements.

Journal Entry Sir Issac Ramon 87th Expeditionary force: We were stationd in the west of Ivory town. Defending some nameless Bridge the higher ups deemed valuable. We considered it an easy choir We had numerous monster tamers myself included. As day broke on our first day, we were swarmed by the locals. Greeting us with bullets and monsters. It shouldn't have been a problem, another day frankly. Then that damn frog came from the river. Jumping from the water on to the bridge, collapsing a portion, we were caught off gaurd. It landed crushing many men and then released a toxic gas on the bridge. We had to retreat at that point. In the aftermath as we fled I looked back to the bridge we were protecting. It collapsed under the weight of the Frog.. Day 1 of our over sea journey, welcome to Ivory Town.

Golden Axe Warrior pixel-over. I think this game has actually split the 16 colour sprite palette into segments so enemies can be palette swapped... but here I just used all 16 colours.

I've been doing pixel art for a while now, and I've finally made something that I feel comfortable showing off. I don't feel it's as good as some of the other stuff I've seen around, but I got it to a state where I think it looks kinda cute.

Any feedback or advice would be welcome!

Which one is the best? Plus, I'd like some shading tips!
