Title says it all. Got the message of three remaining videos and then it locked.

I am using FireFox

Edit: Apparently, it was caused by me being logged into YouTube. But I would really like to be. Because that's where all my subscriptions are. If anyone knows of a way to have it both ways, please let me know.

Edit' : It was my Ghostery extension that was causing ruckus. I don't really like the idea of having to switch it off but at least it's nice to know the cause. Anyway, everything is working now. Even when I am logged in ^^

Also to anyone reading this, keep clearing your cache and update in UBlock Origin!

I've heard of piped due to the piped-link bot, but I am curious about others.

They're on TBS but I don't have cable.

So I know what AC3 means of course, but what does AC3D mean in some releases?

After 16 years of living in my city, they will finally have city-wide fiber internet. I’m pretty stoked because the fastest internet I could possibly have is a WISP at 50gbps down and 10gbps up. Now I will finally have gigabit but it’s through the city, and I’m wondering if they will be more strict on illegal content download given a possible VPN leak. I know this is highly subjective but I want to understand all the possibilities what could happen.

Disney is raking its customers over the coals with a 75% price hike for their annual subscription (originally $80.) People wonder why piracy is on the rise.Multiple commenters are saying I'm off base about the 75% price increase. My payment less than a year ago was $79.99. Here's the proof.

Hello !

On my PC I use a torrent client that's FOSS and that only works if my VPN is running. It's great!

Is there a similar soft for mobile (Android)?

Harr & Cheers!

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share with you two private torrent trackers accepting new users. Check out this site to register.

https://opentrackers.org/

Recently I was looking for BD disks of LOTR and other movies and finally I could get them thanks to these two trackers. Thanks to freeleech even without negatively affecting my ratio.

Greetings y'all. I've been using ways to circumvent YouTube ads for years now. I'd much rather donate to creators directly instead of using Google as a middle man, needing YouTube Premium. If even pay for premium for just a add free version, if the price wouldn't be so outrageous. I've So far used adblockers, Vanced and then Revanced.

Since the recent developments in this matter, I've setup Tubearchivist, a self hosted solution to download YouTube videos for later consumption. It mostly works great, with a few minor things that bother me but I highly recommend it. ReVanced also still works, but nobody knows for how long.

The question now is, if I should use a VPN to obscure my identity to Google. I don't know if I'm being paranoid here but I wouldn't put it past Google to block my account, if they see YouTube traffic for my IP address and no served ads. Revanced even uses my main Google account, so not that far fetched.

So far, or at least to my knowledge, Google has never done this but I think they just might in the future. So I'm planning on putting tubearchivist behind a VPN via gluetun.

What do you think? I'm eager to hear your opinions on this.

I can also add my docker compose, if there's interest and when I'm back on my PC.

While TorrentLeech is great, the demise of FileList makes me want to diversify my catalogue of tracker options in case something were to happen to it as well. Popular releases are usually available on public trackers for a while, with some releases findable on usenet as well, but are there any easily-joinable private trackers as worthwhile as TorrentLeech?

Looking around for trackers that do stl files and/or other stuff for 3d printing. Specifically I'm hoping for rpg minis and the like but if I can find a tracker that does printable objects, I'm happy to help start a mini community.

ahoy, this is a request for my Italian friends.

I recently got my pirate hat back and I am struggling in finding Italian multimedia.

Figured I'd make a dedicated post this time instead of leaving it in a comment.

If more details are needed, please leave a comment and tell me.

ClearURLsDisabling this extension did not remove the popup, but here's my settings anyways:

Link

Return Youtube DislikeRemoving this one did initially seem to work yesterday, but today it isn't.

Link

DuckDuckGo Privacy EssentialsRemoving this did not work, but this extension has caused adblocker-blockers to yell at me before.

Are there any automatic or semiautomatic tools that will rip a set of DVDs from a tv show, and label the resulting vids (like Show name - s##e## or similar)?

I want to digitize entire series (of DVDs I own) for an in-home streaming server, and it's super annoying to name each file individually.

EDIT: Oh, I'm dumb as hell. InstallShield was opening a new popup that for some reason appeared under all my other windows and didn't appear in the taskbar, so I didn't realize it was open. Once I finally noticed it dicking around trying to fix things, I clicked through and it installed fine. I'm gonna leave a comment about it on myabandonware.

Hey, all.

I downloaded Zoo Tycoon 2 from myabandonware dot com. I understand that I need to mount the .bin files, go into the mock CD drives, and install them, but the installation wizard doesn't seem to work.

I run setup.exe and get a popup saying that the game is setting up the InstallShield Wizard, and preparing to install. A loading bar loads up and the popup closes, and then nothing happens. There's no error message. If I check Task Manager, I can see that the InstallDriver module is still running, but taking up no CPU (see attached image). It hangs like this indefinitely.

I tried running it as administrator, fixing corrupted system files, and re-registering Windows installer service.

I'm running Windows 10, I can give more system info if necessary. Does anyone know what's going on and how to fix it?

Hey I finally decided to hop on Lemmy from Reddit and got Booster for Lemmy as my first random choice (if u have another recommendation please tell me).

Now back to the title, a couple years back I downloaded I don't remember where, a copy from the base game of Munchkin, printed it and made a fun project with some cardboard and stuff, I would like to do the same again with a couple tabletop games, but I couldn't find a place to grab said archives.

If someone can point me a direction I already thank you in advance!

Peace out

A platform to stream torrents rather than download them would be nice.

Also iis it possible to use PopcornTime with more than just the PopcornTime.xyz list?

I wanted to play Test Drive Unlimited 2 multiplayer with the TDU World mod, but since I'm not one of the lucky few who owned the game back in the day (I was still a teenager when they shut down the game) I have to pirate it. Unfortunately, the tool required to do it while working with TDUWorld, 80_PA (https://github.com/Blaukovitch/80_PA ), doesn't want to work through Wine as it crashes immediately.

It's a long shot, but has anyone here used it?

Finally got back into sailing the high seas and, first thing i did after getting plex set up was get parks and rec since ive missed it so bad after it left netflix. Its great so far but occasionally it loses track of what ive watched and picks up in the middle of like 9 episodes back?

Then again I was also having the same problem sometimes with hulu....could this possibly be something to do with my roku itself?

I know the question is rather awkward at first and I am possibly overlooking something, but I would like to know something I really don't understand.

In the past I have used modified versions of Spotify and they are fine but obviously no modified version allows you to download songs because it is a premium function at server level and honestly I would like to have my songs on my device, so if I don't have internet I can still listen to them.

After those modified versions of Spotify, I have used apps like ViMusic, Spotube and SimpMusic which are basically Youtube Music apps but without ads and with more features, including downloading music, the problem is that they do that at the level of the app itself, not in a separate file. And I love these apps and I can not recommend them enough but my phone is a little old and I see 0 need to change it since I use it for basics usage and although this can sound dumb the interface of these apps are full of blur and unnecessary effects that make my device slow, including Spotify, and I don't like Spotify Lite because I feel it is a very trimmed version of Spotify.

So this is where my question comes in, for those who exclusively download music, how do you discover new songs? Spotify's recommendation system is great and Youtube's radio mode is very good but obviously I need to use Spotify or Youtube Music to use it and I prefer to use light apps for local playback because of what I already mentioned.

Edit: Thanks for all the recommendations! I never thought this post would get so many answers and there are too many comments to answer one by one, but I admit that the old-school method of reading blogs or magazines works well, and I also like the idea of sites like Last.fm or discogs.

Edit: For those who stumble across this with the same issue, I eventually got it working by adding “default-runtime”: “nvidia”, to /etc/docker/daemon.json then restarting the docker service and Jellyfin container.

I am in the process of setting up a new media server on an old PC using Ubuntu Server and CasaOS and have run into my first major roadblock.

To give some background, I formerly had my media server running on my main gaming PC on Windows using Plex and the *arr suite. I’m now trying to do things the right way and set everything back up from scratch on some spare hardware with Jellyfin and all the rest in dockerized containers. I chose CasaOS because I’m not overly familiar with Linux and thought that would be a good way to ease into things.

Everything was going well until I tried to get hardware acceleration enabled in Jellyfin. For the life of me I cannot seem to get the Nvidia drivers properly installed, much less give Jellyfin access to the device. I’m using a GTX 960.

I’m not sure exactly what additional info I need to give here, but here’s something I hope helps:

*****@home-server:/$ nvidia-smi
NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.
*****@home-server:/$ nvcc --version
nvcc: NVIDIA (R) Cuda compiler driver
Copyright (c) 2005-2021 NVIDIA Corporation
Built on Thu_Nov_18_09:45:30_PST_2021
Cuda compilation tools, release 11.5, V11.5.119
Build cuda_11.5.r11.5/compiler.30672275_0
*****@home-server:/$ ls /usr/src | grep nvidia
nvidia-srv-535.104.12
*****@home-server:/$ sudo dkms install -m nvidia -v srv-535.104.12
Error! Could not locate dkms.conf file.
File: /usr/src/nvidia-srv-535.104.12/dkms.conf does not exist.

If there’s anything important I’m leaving out - and I probably am - let me know. Also if there’s anywhere else you recommend I post this let me know that as well.

One of the best private trackers out there. Sorry to see it go... You can read the reasons why in the link (in Romanian and English).

UPDATE: it's no longer shutting down:

We were overwhelmed by your wishes and messages!

You know that over the years, I've always said that the community has a significant voice. Your words have always mattered, and we've never been indifferent to them. Your voice has been heard, even now.

I am delighted to announce that the website will not be shutting down! Donations are now reactivated, so everything is returning back to normal.

One of the founders of the website, God, is back and will take over the technical aspect to ensure the site continues to thrive. He is trustworthy, loyal, and things will certainly go well from this point of view. However, we also needed someone to take care of the other aspects of the work. From now on, Oana will handle everything related to the staff, server payments, and all the internal matters that a SysOp does. She will get promoted to the SysOp class. She is more than capable and competent to maintain control and ensure that everything runs smooth internally. Congratulations!

Together, they will continue the necessary work to keep this website alive.

That being said, this announcement will be my last. I, EboLLa, am permanently retiring from the community. I want to personally thank you all for all the private messages and wishes you've sent me. There have been so many, and I genuinely appreciate them from the bottom of my heart. You are all wonderful, and I appreciate each and every one of you! I am and have been honored that I could contribute to your well-being! To all of you. Farewell and take care!

So let's wish Oana and God best of luck!

With love and appreciation, EboLLa
