So I used the Firefox extension, Video Downloader professional, to download streaming videos off sites like Soap2day. Now that it's gone, I need a new movie/tv site that works w that extension. I tried a bunch in the megathread but they don't work w it. Any suggestions?

As you can see, I'm currently not on dbzer0 due to said issues with servers. Trying to post would take forever.

I just created an account on that instance and it seems very slow. Loading times are like 15 seconds per page request. Seems like low-populated instances are a bit more smoother. I've finally switched to a seedbox (rapidseedbox). So far I am quite disapointed in the download/upload speed. Download isn't really an issue, but upload certainly is. Most times its between 0.1 to 50 k/s . Sometimes i'll get a peak at 2-3 m/s.

In about 10 days i uploaded 120gb. Which is about 2-3 times what I did from home, previously, in a single day. Its not that much of a problem on iptorrents. But, for the files I need that are not on freeleech, its a tiny buffer that I'm struggling to build.

I tried playing with the settings (deluge), to no avail. When I contacted them, they mentioned the issue was the lack of leechers on the torrents I had, which is bs if you ask me. Some of the torrents i grabbed were a few seconds old, and had a large leecher pool. Also, I did way better on my personnal setup, with similar usage of torrents.

Any of you have success story with rapidseedbox? Or tweaks that could help? I'm considering abandonning ship and moving to ultracc. Only issue I have with that, is that I'm unsure if I can have two active seedboxes on iptorrents at the same time. Although they do mention allowing 3 ip addresses (just not just if its one at a time, or up to 3 connected).

I've been searching through fitgirl's site and reloaded. Both of them don't have it. Has it been released in the scene yet? Or has it still not been cracked?

I just realised that the MegaLinks subreddit wouldn't have had to close up if it was selfhosted on the fediverse, the idea of independent servers for each major sub is fascinating.

That being said, I'm sure it would have ran into new issues.

Grabbed the torrent from rutracker and everything works great except for downloading any external Flex libraries. Checked the thread and didn't see anything about it, anyone know a workaround? I have external plugins so it isn't a big issue but just asking regardless

It is a sad day and year for Piracy. Soap2Day was the best of the best. So was RARBG.

Why are all these piracy sites dropping like flies? There was no warning/explanation for why they went down. Higher running/maintenance cost doesn't explain it, because why not just temporarily shut down until the bills come down? Plus, the timing is bang in the middle of the reddit protest too, which is setting my conspiracy alarms off.

I've been using Spotify for a few years now and today I couldn't access my account. Here I found out they suspended my account claiming I was trying to download their music.

After contacting them they said it was probably a false positive and they can fix my account 'in a few days most likely'.

I'm considering ProtonVPN to replace mullvad as they do have port forwarding for torrenting. I also did a quick search for VPN communities, but didn't find any. Maybe just not from my instance.

Just wondering if they'll end up axing port forwarding, if I pay for a extended length plan and then they axe the feature, I will have wasted quite a bit of money. At least with mullvad, it was monthly anyway, so not much to lose.

Where are some good sites to look for artbooks, particularly those based around video games? I find it hard to come across them in other book, comic or manga archives
