Great to see the ISP Complaint page just have a couple of suggestions / corrections

1. An ISP would have little incentive to arrest their subscribers

Nobody thinks an ISP has the power to arrest anyone.....

2. Suggest addition of 'debrid' solution to the 'how can I avoid complaints' part

You have seedboxes and DDLs in there, but Debrid solutions offer agreat way of using both. The main debrid sites let you

• Add torrents safely and turn them to DDLs (like a Seedbox)
• Bypass filelocker limits on speed and number of DLs
• Can be used with services like Stremio to give you higher quality streaming links that are precached - which means no torrenting, no buffering and of coure, no risk of getting caught.

3. Maybe add something about 'fines' - lots of people mistaken think their ISP can fine them. This is just not true. Only a court, or in some places the police, can issue penalty fines. There is no country in the world that allows ISPs to fine its customers.

I recommended a safe website (from the direct download post on /r/piracy) to a friend. I told him to use Katfile downloads bc when I used it and downloaded like 70gbs of games (many, many separate parts/downloads), I didn’t have to wait in between downloads.

It’s been a 10 days since then, and one friend tried it out today. He showed me that Katfile now made everyone wait 2 hours in between downloads, myself included once I went to test it.

I just want to know, did I somehow get lucky that one time or was Katfiles like that a bit ago and my friends just missed out?

The library folks are advertising Emby as an alternative but Plex is the only thing that works on my old iPad on iOS 10. Do yall have any similar setups or have found alternatives?

If you want to download TV shows before the season is over you have to download episode by episode, but if you wait long after the season ends it may not be seeded. So how can I get notifications to download it shortly after the season ends?

So, this may not technically be piracy related, but hoping someone here is smart and kind enough to help. Just got a new Fire HD 8 tablet. Went through all the steps of installing the play store and everything is working great (native YT app, brave browser, etc) EXCEPT when I tried to use the YoutubeTV app I get an error that I am missing Google Play services, even though they are already installed. Anyone have any tips or ideas? TIA

EDIT: For clarification, I am trying to watch YouTubeTV subscription service on a Fire HD 8 tablet, not a Youtube app for Fire TV.

Recently learned how to downloaded 'protected' content and have to say things are pretty simple when you start learning the basics of how things work.

But its pretty hard to get started with, there is not much content for uploaders, at least that I can find easily. Do you have any recommendations to read on uploading content safely? Metadata etc.

Does anyone have a good resource or an actual example of the type of scripts you are able to run as a custom script in either software? I made JavaScript, Python and batch versions of the same script but it's doing nothing when I try to test those. Not really finding any useful info on the web/wiki either.

Hello. Could someone help me with installation instructions for VSDC Video Editor Pro from taiwebs dot com? I’ve followed the installation instructions it provides to install the Video Editor and activate it by copying and pasting the cracked files into the Video Editor’s program installation directory. But when I launch the Video Editor, it say’s I have the pro version activated, but when I try to use features, it says I need to upgrade to pro.

I tried to download the recent version and got an NX-Domain error so i checked and only OpenDNS seems to have a valid IP, all other have it removed

After the Mullvad fiasco I decided to stop using VPNs all together, since port forwarding is always going to be a problem on all of them, if you read the reasons why Mullvad had to shut down that service.

There is a better way using i2p which conceals your IP and makes it impossible for anyone to know what or if you're downloading at all! No DMCA notices, no problem.

I wrote this small guide to another comment and figured I'd share it in its own post since I'm seeing so many people ask for VPN recommendations.

So there are 2 main implementations of i2p. First is the main Dev’s Java client here https://geti2p.net/en/download

The other is i2pd, which is C++.

I use the Java one personally but both would work. Someone posted back on reddit a guide on /r/i2p for qbittorrent, which is what I use now for this too. The guide was shared as a public torrent you can download with this info hash: 3f1d51095f9b116739172c1bced149acf2b10692

Use that hash with any of the various public trackers and you should be able to download that guide.

But if you just want a basic setup, that Java client comes with i2psnark, which is a Bittorrent client already setup.

The only other thing you want to do is go and search the biggest tracker for stuff, which is called PaTracker, Postman’s tracker. http://tracker2.postman.i2p, only accessible from i2p itself, which you’ll need to have setup and running first to view.

This tracker needs more seeders and uploaders in general, and by improving those things service for everyone is better. So the more the merrier.

With Mullvad disabling port forwarding and the general problematic VPN services it was super helpful to rely on some information about VPNs on reddit to discovered services like Mullvad. Now it seems to be down to ProtonVPN, AirVPN and IVPN. But that information is not to be found here so far.

And then there is the whole world of seedboxes unbeknownst to me, especially regarding practical anonymity with payment processors.
