Hi. I'm looking for websites where I can download artbooks. I've already checked out Z Library, but unfortunately, I couldn't find what I was looking for there. Thank you in advance for your suggestions

Is there really no definitive way to safely use IDM pirated version? Like a script or safe pre-cracked file? Everytime I download them from any sites, it's another virus.

Can you guys recommend a site to download IDM?

Hi, I posted this recently in a separate piracy community but I didn't realize that this one became the main one. I want to configure sonarr to work with i2p torrents and only torrent over i2p. qBittorrent seems to be the only foss torrent client with both i2p and sonarr support, but I can't get i2p set up with it. Does anyone here know how to set up i2p with qB or any other clients I could use? Please include detail, I am an idiot.

I looked through the wiki and only found audio bay as a resource for audio books, which seemed limited. I'm mainly looking for non-fiction, especially of the "self help" and psychology variety. Books about dealing with mental illness or trauma to listen to while doing chores. Anxiously Attached is the main title I've been looking for, as an example.

Edit: TL;DR: I want to be a streamer and don't know where to stream to

I'm not entirely sure that's the right community for this question, but a recent post about how we're in the "golden age of sports streaming" reminded me of the time I used to post and stream matches on reddit. It was fun, sometimes stressful when things went wrong trying to get it back up as quickly as possible, but overall enjoyable.

I've thought about going back to it, but I wouldn't know even where to begin to host a stream. When I was doing it, there used to be platforms you could use to stream at (like ssh101 or streamup), of course avoiding youtube and twitch like the plague, but what about today? What site could one use today without it being taken down every 5 minutes to even start streaming sports events? It seems like it's a lot harder today than it used to be years ago.

Sure, finding games on the high seas is easy enough on my windows machine, but if I'm on my linux partition and want to play a game that would otherwise work if I bought it in Steam with proton, how would I go about getting the game to run?

According to /r/trackers. Staff say they're working on it, so no indication of LE issues. I was actually a bit worried there.

I've been using Clipgrab (macOS) to download music (mp3s) from YouTube. I've seen some mentions that the quality (real bitrate as opposed to what the file states) is bad to begin with on YouTube and that downloaders might make it worse. How bad is the quality of what I'm downloading? Any better downloaders or does the quality suck to begin with?

Hello. I'm not sure if it's related in any way to piracy, but I don't know yet of a better place to ask this question on Lemmy, and people often search for PDF magazines on pirate sites (like those from megathread). I have some old magazines, which I would like to scan - page by page - into digital form (for now for personal use) and merge scanned pages into PDFs for convenient reading. Some of these magazines have hundreds of pages each, so I would like to convert them to digital both fast (preferably a few pages in one minute), reliably (without blurred text and images in some places on each page), and in best quality possible. Do I need a professional scanner (for example in a multifunctional office-grade laser printer)? Could a decent portable scanner do the job just as right? Or is my phone's camera with an appropriate scanner app completely sufficient for that? I would like to read your thoughts about this.

Any tips?

Should I be looking at specific trackers? Usenet? Idk, I like DVD bonus features and want to know how to find them reliably

I know the topic of whether adblock is piracy is debated, but I am guessing there are a lot of adblock users here and I was wondering if anyone has seen the youtube adblock warning message in the wild. I use ublock origin and still haven't seen it once.

I recently got into the piracy community, and discovered a great open source app for Android that allows you to stream music for free from YouTube music! It's called ViMusic and it's one of the best free music apps imo. It has a beautiful and customizable interface and it actually has a music recommendation algorithm which is one of the main reasons people still pay for music subscriptions like Apple Music instead of pirating. This app has been really helpful to me and I hope that it can be to you too :)

Hey there, this is my first post on any lemmy instance so apologies if I do anything wrong (no I'm actually not a redditor, through yeah I did see a link to this instance on r/piracy and decided to take the plunge)

I'm looking for the best way to track down the films listed on this website: https://othernessarchive.com/ It calls itself an archive but it's really just a list.

As an example: https://othernessarchive.com/archive/transexual-menace There's a link to rent but that's it. Many films listed don't have anything at all, maybe a trailer link on YouTube. Is there maybe a known torrent out there that has these films or at least some of them floating around?

I bought Rūrangi on DVD earlier this year (which is also on this site) just so I could have the physical medium but I don't have a region unlocked disk burner. Far as I'm aware there's no season 2 DVD out there either. The DVD is nice because it keeps the first season as the full length film it was intended to be (Hulu chops them up into 5 separate 20ish min episode seasons with a shitload of ads sprinkled in) and I just want to own the films and share them with my loved ones without the bullshit... and obviously I want to explore a lot of these other films too.

For those out there using VPN's to torrent, do you prioritize a lower latency over higher bandwidth or higher bandwidth over lower latency when selecting your server/region?

Bandwidth is pretty self explanatory but I'm not sure how latency impacts torrenting (mainly for seeding). If anyone can shed some light on this, I'd really appreciate the input!

Hello,

I tried in the past to wrap my head around usenet, and I bought access to some news downloader (iirc it was called that way not sure, but it was Eweka) and tried using it, the problem was that every download I tried to get was dead on arrival (link being dead, failing to verify file integrity) yet so many people on piracy forums swear by Usenet and claim that for ~$60 a year they get a much more superior experience than torrents, and yet, I currently torrent everything with no issues at all.

The reason for trying Usenet that when attempting to search some less popular TV shows/movies, I could not always find it in the quality I wanted to see, and therefore decided to give it a try.

Any suggestions?

Are there any good docker containers that have an openvpn + qbittorrent configuration setup in such a way that the torrents won't run if the vpn isn't running?

What the title says, basically. Any help would be appreciated!
