As title. F1TV has blocked VPN access. So no more F1TV from the UK. I refuse to spend £40 a month to Sky for like 20ish races a year.

Does anyone have any good streaming links please? Thanks

I own a Garmin Dash Cam, and one of the features is red light and speed cameras alerts, however this feature is hidden behind a subscription, the camera doesn't require internet connection all the time, so theoretically the files could be reverse engineered. I tried to do a quick google search but got nothing, does anybody know if this feature has been cracked?

I've seen many people have insane setups to download things automatically and NAS' with tens of terabytes of capacity, which i don't understand at all.

I have a 1 tb drive from 2013 of which I'm using ~850GB and most of the space is used by series i have already watched and haven't bothered to delete.

What are you storing to need so much space and how are you finding so much good content that you actually want to save?

Hello, I’m not sure where to ask this. But my login fails through every web browser. I can do a password reset, which logs me in. But then I cannot log in with the new password using another web browser. Anyone else having this issue?

I have this issue also on lemmy.ml server.

I want to unlock the ability to view content on my mobile device. I can do that with a one-time purchase (payed with google opinion rewards) or with a subscription. I want to unlock the ability for my entire family though, across multiple devices. Do I have to pay the "one-time payment" for every device? If so, the plex subscription might be worth it. Is there any other major benefit to having a plex subscription?

With Netflix and other streaming platforms increasing price, I finally decided to get a seedbox for my family members' needs with Plex/jellyfin.

My budget is 10-15 USD per month. I'm currently on the 11$ hostingby.design plan with 4TB storage and 9TB traffic, 10gbit connection. I've been mostly happy but,

  • Their app selection feels small though I've found most of the mainstream stuff.
  • I'm missing things like cross-seed, jellystat, jellyfin-vue, transmission and audiobookshelf.
  • Not happy with how apps installed by the GitHub scripts are not available on HTTPS.
  • Can't disable ssh password login for public key, which is making me really uncomfortable.
  • Their wiki seems quite sparse.

The other options I'm thinking of are:

  • 13$ HDD plan at seedhost.eu - 4TB/9TB but only 1gbps, downgrade in specs but seems to have more apps.
  • 14$ plan at ultra.cc with 3TB/8TB but 20gps (which feels like an overkill honestly). Also a downgrade but their wiki/app support looks top notch.

I really wish there was a way I could manage docker containers on my own on a similar shared setup without paying for a dedicated vps but haven't found something like that so far.

Any advice regarding the other providers, experience or otherwise would be greatly appreciated :)

Hello, the only thing from stopping me to fully use Manjaro as my primary daily OS is that pirating on linux is inconvenient. When i install pirated games on Linux they must be really lightweight to support, like Undertale or Papers Please, because WINE uses Vulkan graphics and they are fucking terrible on slightly more heavy games like superhot and shit, this entails having bad frame rate like 20 fps (unplayable). To whoever is using Linux and also pirates games on daily basis, do you also have the same problem? Is there any solution you could suggest me? Thank you

Unfortunately what seems to be the cached version of lemmy.fmhy.ml is now slowly disappearing from Cloudflare. Those 2 comments have now been lost as well along with most of the content.

Hello people I have recently changed my CPU, Motherboard and RAMs so I was planning on reinstalling windows on my PC. Last time I installed Windows was probably or so 10 years ago and I can't remember for the life of me how I activated it.

Any recommendations on activating the new install? Or is it too much trouble nowadays and should I just buy a key?

Hi! Me again, looking for options from the mega thread I've reached Ciberflix, but besides I updated, doesn't load any server

Hello !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com

I intend to upload an archive of a website I scraped for the last few weeks. The torrent is about 4 TB large and contains 400000 folders which in turn contain 40 .jpg's on average (plus some metadata).

Should I just create the torrent with the files as they are right now, or should I put the individual folders in archives (or maybe even the entire torrent?)?

Thanks in advance

Super simple and easy to setup. It does only use GetComics and ComicVine but it’s reliable. It also supports mega login well. The UI feels a little off compared to other starr apps but still familiar.

I chose to try Kapowarr because Mylar failed to get Venom comics from GetComics repeatedly. I suggest giving it a try though, and development is active, altho it’s not “stable” it’s worked perfectly well thus far.

Only issue is when I put it thru nginx styling is lost? idk probably a me issue really

scribd download (lemmy.dbzer0.com)
submitted 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) by cannis@lemmy.dbzer0.com to c/piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com

does anyone know what version of the scribd app stored downloaded files in an accessable format on android? i've seen references to people managing to get the files from older versions, but i don't know how far to go to be able to get that. please don't suggest online scribd downloaders, 99% don't work and the one that does messes with the format of the books i'm looking for.

EDIT: i found an alternate way; this script seems to do the trick on pc (https://github.com/evmer/scribd-downloader). you do need a premium account or trial, but it's pretty useful.

Hi guys, any way to change subtitles database?

3116

I use my seedbox to download and I synchronize it to my local Plex server via syncthing, however, I don't want to permanently store the data on the Plex server. I want to move it off once the download completes.

Hey guys Getting used to lidarr, but sometimes when i need to manual import, it will list a whole album, with one song pre-checked. If I select any more the import button greys out. This track is the only one with a track number so is this the problem?

Thanks!

For a piracy-oriented community I'm surprised this isn't discussed as much.

Do you ever store media, or delete them after watching? How do you store them?

I personally have 12TB worth of hard drives (3x4TB) in a JBOD configuration. Been wanting to upgrade my hard drives (they're 6 years old) but I'm still a little skeptical of the helium drives and whether they will last...

Anybody know a guide or reading material on learning how to encrypt hard drives ?

With the collapse of hqcollect I’m not really sure where to get the kind of content one would find on manyvids, patreon, or onlyfans. This stuff seems to not really show up in indexers on Usenet (dog, geek, etc) or my preferred private tracker (ipt). I’ve even gone as far as digging into spotweb for this stuff. Am I just in the wrong indexers or trackers? I really prefer to stick to direct downloads (Usenet or straight https) over torrents so I admittedly just avoid that space unless it is a last resort

Not your normal kind of piracy, I know, but thought some would be interested.

On a recent flight I was screwing around on my phone while connected to Southwest's WiFi. Southwest doesn't have traditional In-flight entertainment, instead offering movies and shows through a local LAN server on their WiFi for free. To get Internet access you load the site and pay $8usd using a CC, and then they'll unblock your device from the WAN.

Here's the fun part, for the LOLs I tried accessing my various VPNs and Proxies, including Google's, not expecting much. I've known of various tricks involving setting up a VPN or SSH on a DNS port or similar to try and get past web filters, but I've never been bothered enough to go through the trouble. But thinking of that, I decided to give Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 DNS app a try, since while its kinda a VPN, it does some things differently since their goal isn't to give you a full VPN on their free plan, just improve your DNS and routing performance. But after waiting a long few seconds it amazingly said connected. At first I thought it was a fluke, thinking its connected but not actually working, but after doing a random Google search I realized it was actually somehow forwarding my packets to the WAN proper. I was FREE!

Though I should dampen expectations a bit. While it's definitely full net access, it's slower than molasses. Whatever route Cf is maneuvering packets through, it's not a fast one. Random access would be at best in the three digit Kbps range, with sustained sometimes spiking into the 1-2Mbps, and latency was measured in Seconds, not Milliseconds. Netflix refused to load the detail pages for movies and shows, and YouTube failed to load videos whether streamed or trying to download. I was able to get a 240p YT video to download with Youtube-DL/yt-dlp though.

And just to make sure it wasn't just the plane's connection that was slow, I checked with a seatmate that had paid the $8 for Internet access, and their experience was definitely faster than mine, loading videos with ease.

So while you can browse the net, read some articles, and chat on Mastodon and Lemmy, patience is a virtue. But it's way better than nothing, and great way to just check a few things in the air without dropping the $8.

YMMV with other airlines, but it's worth a shot.

Update: Just did another flight and this time didn't have success. The in-flight Wifi system on this flight was older though, with the old 2D flight tracker, and all the VOD content was broken too, so the Internet was probably just busted.

Downloading audio off VK (lemmy.dbzer0.com)
submitted 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) by dudemanbro@lemmy.dbzer0.com to c/piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com

As the titles states was wondering I was wondering if anyone has a way to download audio off of VK. I usually am able to pull audio files from websites that stream audiobooks or embeeded audio with IDM. When that doesnt work I sometimes pull up the the developer tools in firefox and can pull an address for the audio files and can download that way. However, I have yet to find a way to pull from VK. The the audio streams well but I dont know how to actually download the streaming audio as an mp3 (or similar format). I have tried a few extensions but havent really had any luck (and if I am honest, it sketches me out putting some of those programs on my computer).

Was just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction.
