I checked the wiki but it doesn't have any content yet. Looking to stream Argentina vs Bolivia.

Any good soccer live streaming sites?

None of the sites in the comments had the match but I found one that did:

Hi there, do you know if there is a way to disable laugh tracks from sitcoms? I really would like to rewatch some shows like King of Queens but I can't bear the constant laughing in the background. Cheers

Anybody know of a good source for video game OSTs ?

I have started encoding, but have now gotten to making videos where multiple video streams need to be combined from a bluray source, into one video file - Does anyone know any programs for this, or any in depth guides on Remuxing / etc?

Sharing Paper Books

[...] a few months ago the site planned to [start] helping users to share physical copies with each other.

Books you have read should not gather dust on your shelf – instead, they can get a second life in the hands of new readers! This helps to preserve the literary heritage and spread the knowledge and ideas contained in books to more people

This is an interesting move from the site. Sharing a paper book with someone is something entirely different than offering pirated book copies online, from a legal perspective at least. But for Z-Library it all ultimately boils down to sharing stories and encouraging reading.

Z-Points in 11 Countries

A few days ago, Z-Library’s first physical libraries, known as “Z-Points”, went live. These initial locations are limited to 11 countries, including the U.S., China, and South Sudan, covering all inhabited continents.

This is just the initial phase of the project and more locations and Z-Points are expected to be added in the future.

This project has grown beyond our initial concept of a simple book exchange and has evolved into a global library of paper books. Our ultimate goal is to connect readers worldwide and make literature accessible to everyone, regardless of location or financial constraints

During the first phase, Z-Library focuses on building its paper book collection. If people have books they no longer use, they can send them to the Z-Points for further processing. That includes making digital copies, if legally possible.

There, we carefully store books, digitize them (if the laws of a particular country allow), and then send them to users and educational institutions in need

Next: Direct Sharing

Later on, Z-Library also plans to add an interface where users can list their available paper books, to facilitate direct sharing between users, without the need to go through a Z-Point.

cross-posted from: https://kbin.social/m/13thFloor/t/429137, books@lemmy.ml

Shadow libraries, sometimes called pirate libraries, consist of texts aggregated outside the legal framework of copyright.

Today’s pirate libraries have their roots in the work of Russian academics to digitize texts in the 1990s. Scholars in that part of the world had long had a thriving practice of passing literature and scientific information underground, in opposition to government censorship—part of the samizdat culture, in which banned documents were copied and passed hand to hand through illicit channels. Those first digital collections were passed freely around, but when their creators started running into problems with copyright, their collections “retreated from the public view," writes Balázs Bodó, a piracy researcher based at the University of Amsterdam. “The text collections were far too valuable to simply delete,” he writes, and instead migrated to “closed, membership-only FTP servers.”

More recently, though, those collections have moved online, where they are available to anyone who knows where to look.

The purpose of this site, then, is to have all these libraries at our fingertips when in need of a certain text or book.

As Aaron Swartz put it:

“Information is power. But like all power, there are those who want to keep it for themselves.”

We need to take information, wherever it is stored, make our copies and share them with the world. We need to take stuff that’s out of copyright and add it to the archive. We need to buy secret databases and put them on the Web. We need to download scientific journals and upload them to file sharing networks. We need to fight for Guerilla Open Access.

With enough of us, around the world, we’ll not just send a strong message opposing the privatization of knowledge — we’ll make it a thing of the past. Will you join us?

Is there any way to separate the UI from the actual torrenting?

I'm playing with Buffstreams and Vipleague to get the US Open. That's fine on desktop, where I can use Brave with uBlock to kill all the malware and bullshit.

But on iOS, everything's fucked with popovers, etc. I have 1Blocker, but it doesn't do enough, so I never get to the streams. If I use another browser I'm just going to infect myself.

Why do I care? I want to use my ipad to cast to my apple tv. It's not just for today, I'll watch plenty of other sports. I'm damned if I'm paying $75/mo to Hulu.

What should I actually be doing here? Is there some native app for an apple tv that will frontend sports streams? Maybe there's an ipad app or a different content blocker?

I don't know what I don't know :)

I've tried every web on the megathread to download modded mobile games but for some reason it doesn't matter where do I download from they just crash. For example, I have downloaded a game from revdl and it works perfectly, but if I download the same exact version but modded it crashes. Maybe it has to do with MIUI? I have no idea, I used to install games from an app called happy mod and they worked nice.

Maybe I‘ll mod my ps3 to make it emulate games. I heard that works pretty good.

I obviously would like to get tons of old games and since they’re not sold anywhere for a fair price, I deem it morally sound to find them.

I heard of „handheld retro gaming consoles“ which also have found games on them. Does anyone have experience with those?

Btw: Since the graphics are pretty low res, that could be a better alternative than the ps3 since the 55“ tv its hooked up to might make it look worse.

It’s just an idea at this point so I‘m happy for any direction. I figured c/retrogaming might be wrong since talking about finding unlicensed games might be against their rules. Feel free to advise me otherwise.

P.S.: Forgive the ignorance. I know my way around commandline and some medium advanced programming but I‘m not pro at sailing the high seas at all.

Does anyone know the best way to route traffic from transmission through Mullvad?

I have transmissionset up on my plex server which I control using tranmission remote and want to download my Linux ISOs with privacy.

I have downloaded the wireguard config and can connect to it using wg-quick, but I don't want all traffic going through it, only transmission.

I can't seem to get either of them to load, anyone else?

As reported in TorrentFreak, Italian regulator AGCOM has "successfully" blocked 45 pirate IPTV providers in Italy at the behest of commercial sports streaming company DAZN Italia. DAZN claims piracy steals €800,000 from live sports every single day (they are obviously batshit crazy).

But the article also provides a handy list of pirate streaming sites, which you can find below:

  • 1stream.soccer
  • bdnewszh.com
  • calcio.ws
  • calciostreaming.click
  • calciostreaming.online
  • Elixx.xyz
  • flash-24.live
  • footybite.to
  • fotnet24.com
  • freestreams- live1.top
  • funhdgames.xyz
  • futbolmoderno.info
  • futbolonline.me
  • futbolonlinetv.club
  • hahasport.me
  • hesgoal.info
  • hesgoal.today
  • kooora365.com
  • kooora4life.com
  • koooralive.online
  • lacasadeltikitakatv.net
  • nbatv.site
  • nflbite.to
  • nizarstream.xyz
  • nopay.info
  • p2pstreams.live
  • pirlo.tv
  • pirlotv.app
  • pirlotv.site
  • pirlotv.uk
  • pirlotvlive.es
  • pirlotvonline.fr
  • pirlotvonline.org
  • poscitechs.com
  • redstream.online
  • rojadirectaenvivo.fr
  • rojadirectahd.tv
  • rojadirectatv.uno
  • rojadirectatvhd.it
  • skystreaming.link
  • SoccerStreams (now taken down)
  • sportzone.la

People caught using illegal IPTV services in Italy reportedly risk a fine of up to €5000, so always be sure to use basic precautions when sailing the high seas, such as using a decent VPN.

I've got Stremio set up with RD and so far very happy. However, recently got an annoying issue with playback so I thought let's give Syncler a try. It was a pain to set up as buying Syncler+ requires crypto, or paying twice as much.

Got it working, added RD, added the Express provider package excluding Orion, but for some shows I get no results whereas in Stremio it worked fine. For example, Starstruck doesn't work in Syncler; it loads for a minute or so with lots of sources, errors, etc. and then says 0 sources found. Other shows load fine. Should I add another source, or am I just unlucky?

Or is there another alternative that works with Realdebrid? I'm on Android TV (CCWGTV). I have got Seren in Kodi, but not a fan of the UI. I like the slick UI of Stremio :)

Any recommendations of streaming app for iphone? I use stremio on all my other devices, and currently just have a tab for movie-web.app on my phone, but looking for a better solution.
