I'm getting plenty of links from AllDebrid set up with The Crew on Kodi, but all videos stop playing after about 15 seconds in. The clock keeps ticking, but the screen freezes. What could I be doing wrong?

Specifically I'm wondering about the TV frontend UI. Presumably most people are going to be using an android tv box like fire tv or chromecast? Something else?

I recently picked up a new chromecast 4k that has the "Google TV" OS on it and... I'm having a hell of a time coming up with a UI that looks similar to the stock one (with movie recommendations, up next, my watchlist, etc) but that hooks into piracy streaming services.

For launchers I found projectivy, but I noticed that the "channels" feature which pulls in that sort of thing is remarkably limited. Streaming-wise I've got stremio and cloudstream, and only stremio lets me pull in my library into projectivy. Which is okay but I can't get that synced with trakt or getting recommendations; it all has to be managed from stremio.

whereas cloudstream doesn't really have any connectivity at all. There's a few streaming services that somewhat pull things in but it's not great. Netflix doesn't seem to hook into it, nor plex. It ends up being better to just use the stock home and manually launching into stremio/cloudstream when I want them.

Surely there has to be a better way to do this? The stock home screen is nice with free live tv, movie recommendations that link into various paid streaming services, etc. I'd just like to hook in something like stremio, plex, etc. instead, but that seems impossible?

What exactly do y'all do for your setups? Trying to manage my google play watchlist/likes independently of trackt, and then also managing my stremio library separately from both just feels like hell. I end up having to take mental note of the stuff I see on the home screen and manually searching it up.

The live tv channels that the stock homescreen has is seemingly not replicated anywhere else which is a bit disappointing. I saw the old android tv menu get really close to what I'm after, but I can't manage to get it working on my newer chromecast. The menu installs, but the channel feature doesn't work, making it pointless.

Is there a better way?

Im looking for an app for android that allows streaming audio books, downloads ect.

Any favorites? From fdroid or mobilism?

Edit: I have audiobookshelf hosted and a small library, but I want a deeper selection. Im not looking for an audio book player so much as a streaming app with access to anything.

I've left wigh 10 gb in my hd, almost 300 gb in my hd are occupied by culturally relevant films (in hig deifinition) that in the future (I bielieve, and I'm afraid) won't be so easy to find and thus I am reluctant to delete.

spoilerOut of curiousity, some of the movies are: Fellini's 8 and a half; Metropolitan by whit stillman; Lust; by Ang Lee; Ice storm by Ang lee; The Dresser by Peter Yates; Another woman, by woody allen;

I cannot right now buy and external HD (that in the long distance I will surely loose in the profoudities of a cupboard), is there any solutions, safe and cheap to keep them somewhere online and made them available to anyone somewhere that is interested to watch them?
Thanks to anyone who will want to help me. Have a nice day!

Hello again my fellow pirates! I'm trying to search for an apk that its on 4pda and results the captcha are russian numbers handwritten.

I saw a guide to understand Russian numbers but in 45 minutes no luck understanding the handwriting.

The thing is that I want the APKS itself to learn how hey patch , so I can learn how they do such thing.

In the megathread mobilsim has too the app I'm searching, but its outdated.

Tutorial 4pda: https://doorsgeek.blogspot.com/2015/08/4pdaru-loginregister-captcha-tutorial.html?m=1

Cheers

I use Radarr and Sonarr for my movies/shows, and Spotify for music, but I do know there's another *arr app for that. The question is, is it worth setting up and how easy is it to discover new/similar music as opposed to Spotify, given that Spotify isn't expensive at all. And how do you fellow crewmen go about it?

I know this isn't strictly piracy related, I apologise, but I think it is tangentally related in that piracy protects you from data theft by avoiding the services the biggest thieves operate. Also, I feel like people here might be very interested in this take.

Apparently, the "legal" data brokerage industry was worth $319 billion in 2021, and is predicted to be worth $545 billion in 2028.[^1]

Meanwhile, in 2021 there were only 7.9 billion people in the world[^2] - many of whom do not have internet access or have very little data being traded. If we generously assume 6 billion people have equal volumes of data being traded, that means each person's data is worth $53.17 per year on the market.

Data is effectively stolen from people. We do not get anything in return for it. We may be offered access to a website free of charge, but that is a separate transaction - it is not appropriate for another transaction to be hidden in the fine print of the terms and conditions. When you buy insurance, the key terms have to be front and centre - you pay x, you get y service. Not "You can have y for free!!! ^(But^ ^also^ ^you^ ^give^ ^us^ ^x^ ^for^ ^free.)^" You're supposed to be able to compare the value of the things being traded.

Bearing in mind that this is merely data brokerage, not actual processing or deriving any value from the data, a simple profit margin can be applied. They simply collect the data - easily and at low cost through automated processes - and then sell it. If businesses still took a very generous 30% profit (rather than a ludicrous infinite and pure profit) then the value of an average person's data that they are owed is around $40 per year.

To run the other numbers to check, the global population in 2028 is predicted to be 8.4 billion - a growth of 6.329%. So our 6 billion population would become 6.38 billion, and with the $545 billion market value an individual's data would be worth $85.43 on the market, or $65.71 to the individual. The value of user data is predicted to rise.

Obviously that 6 billion population figure I used is an approximation - a blind one at that. To give a worst case valuation for 2021, if we assume all 7.9 billion people equally have data being traded, then an individual's data is worth $40.38 on the market, and $31.06 to the user. These are the minimum values, averaged evenly across the entire global population.

When Google and Facebook started out, data had very little value - there was no market for it. Thus it seemed reasonable to let them just take it, even if maybe it could be worth something. The service they offered was new and novel, a shiny new toy for everyone to play with. They then used this data to become some of the wealthiest businesses in the world. Now, even big players like Microsoft have joined in, in spite of the fact that their main products are paid products.

One form of bank fraud is where the criminal takes pennies out of multiple accounts, the idea being that people won't notice such a small debit, and banks might write it off as some kind of error. This has been legislated against and proven illegal - yet these assholes take $40 each from everyone and get away with it!

I love not being bombarded by ads thanks to pihole and adblockers. I don't have cable TV either. But without browsing netlifx/Hulu/etc. how do you actually find stuff to watch and discover worthwhile shows and movies to rent from my library?

  • In the Megathread, section 3-12 (Unsafe Sites), under "All Purpose", the first entry is 1377x-to, reason listed as

Fake clone: (Crafted with cunning intent to ensnare unsuspecting users through deliberate deception).

  • However, in the Megathread, section 3-1 (All Purpose), under "Torrents", likewise the first entry is 1377x-to.

Edit:

Lol, got the characters mixed up, I guess. Whoops. Well, to all the people being nice about it and kindly letting me know, thank you very much!

To all the people being dicks about it (concerningly a lot of you it seems ಠ_ಠ), maybe learn a bit of humility. Some people mix up similar-looking characters in their heads. It's a thing that happens.

Is there any way to integrate these sources cleanly into a Plex setup? https://fmhy.net/videopiracyguide

I have a perfectly fine setup for media I want, but i'm curious just because there's a lot of stuff to sample that I might not want to waste time/bandwidth on downloading. Might be useful for other members of my household as well.

Just bought an "enhanced eBook", accessible only through Yuzu (Barnes and Noble's site) and I would love to rip it to PDF and get it on libgen. Does anyone have any advice or tutorial for this?

I don't have much experience with writing scripts but I understand I could use python to screenshot and append all 800+ pages as well. Looking for how to do this if it's what I have to do.

Thanks, and happy to provide more relevant info if needed!

LOL.

We pay for 4K, but we don't get more than 720p unless we use some proprietary shit hardware and agree to their super-invasive "privacy policy" - and they expect people to NOT set sail in the high seas? GTFO..
