Houses or maybe other permanent structures, hotel/motel. Or even a specifically designed building that is reasonably easily convertable to the space needed for the time. A bit like how a Convention centre acts, but on a smaller scale.

The owner doesn't care about the building, its just a glorified mobile phone tower for them now. You can see it in one of the pictures.

Sounds like this is another subsidy for the mining industry. This time, in the form of office space and networking support, for Canberra lobbying campaigns.

Am I being too cynical, and can the state actually benefit the most from this community hub?

Is anyone braving Forrest Place? I am really tempted , need a little convincing.

What did you think?

What do people on here think the going rate now-a-days is for the neighbours kid washing the car?

Inside and/or outside.

Perth has a lot of Sister Cities,

Chengdou, China Houston, Texas Kagoshima, Japan Megisti Greece Nanjing, China Perth, Scotland Rhodes, Greece San Diego, California Seocho City, Republic of Korea Taipei, Taiwan Vasto, Italy

I've never been to any of them though.

Has anyone here been to any of them?

Did you find some kind of 'advantage' when they've gone to one of these places? I'm guessing it'd be like cheap museum tickets or something.

Or have you used the Sister City program in a business capacity?

Regional leaders say a decision by the Western Australian Electoral Commission (WAEC) to cut another bush seat from state parliament will make it harder to advocate for their communities. Key points:

WA Electoral Commission has released its proposed new state electoral boundaries
The regional seats of Moore and North West Central will be combined to create the new seat of Mid West
The changes make way for the new seat of Oakford in suburban Perth

Does anyone else think that WA/Perth should put their hand up to take this on?

I think it would be fantastic for the state, and we have the money (at least more than Victoria 😁), and given the short notice it wouldn't look that bad if we didn't have the perfect venues etc.

I feel like if McGowan was still in he would jump on this! I think I heard Roger has already vetoed it though...

Southeast Asia begins to meet their growing demand for beef. Heralding in more feedlots, cattlefeed farming, land degradation, phosphate overgrowths and greenhouse gas emotions.

When I was going to school/uni 2010ish we had express trains on what seemed like every train.

A Joondalup express line that skipped Leederville to Stirling

A Fremantle express train - I think A and B pattern which skipped the first half or second half of stations.

Now we have an altering Butler/Whitfords train which is awful at Peak clock off hours because it's so packed people can't even get on at Leederville/Glendalough/Stirling, and a Freo line train that stops at Claremont which might as well just stop at Subi because everyone on after that is going to Freo.

What are your experiences with express trains and do you think they still have a place?
