Desal, could also be getting cheaper and more energy efficient, which may be of use to ameliorate this rising issue. https://news.mit.edu/2022/solar-desalination-system-inexpensive-0214

I don't really understand why KEMH being ~100 years old is such a problem, as indicated? This is the reason for the move given by the Premier.

So, whats with the rush to get out of KEMH?

"Mr Hastie said it was now up to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to unify the country but said the Liberals' focus over the next week would be around cost of living." Keane Bourke, Ted O'Connor, Sam Tomlin.

What a great line from the writers.

The sentence encapsulates the opposition's whole story:

  • No lessons learned from their defeat.

  • Brain dead when it comes to actual leadership.

  • Saw this referendum as one in a series of vapid political games they'll mindlessly blather about until the next election.

Lock up your Road Bikes! Lest they get seduced by the unsealed-road nature of the BMX' lifestyle.

What an opportunity for OTR! They can build the worlds tallest petrol station to get planning approval. Just think, 16 storeys of Servo Serenity! The possibilities are endless. You could have a whole floor dedicated to over-priced chocolates, and another to an energy drink nirvana!

This is the kind of development that will really put Perth on the map!

A budgetary cushion of 5 million doesn't seem like a massive amount for an LGA. Or have i missed something?

Free 1 hour parking seems like a no brainer in a town like Vincent.

From the article, about the WAAAC, "It's fundamental weakness is that it's limited to an internal council advising the minister, the Voice's strength is that it's external to advise the broader government and the parliament."

This is such an important point, and the yes campaign should hammer this example in the time left, because this is a real example of why the argument of 'over reach' has poor evidence.

I think it's also why the revanchivist 'right' in the country were never going to go for the Voice proposal. Because it clearly means where the Government of a day were to ignore the Voice everybody will know, creating an in public political problem for them.

When this happened Meg O'neil ran around town exclaiming how fearful she'd been. But the cops were there, at her house, waiting for the activists.

And whats happened since? Has the Woodside exec been hassled? I haven't heard about anything more. The activists have though. Who should actually be afraid of who in this situation?

I heard, from a friend, of a friend, of a friend, that each apartment is going to be car themed. If true, then i'll be slappin my deposit down the Dodge Ram themed apartment. My new apartments motto will, 'Use lots of space, poorly'..

That'll be a lot of trucks going back and forth. Has anyone been up that highway lately and seen the signs?

I'm a pig in mud at that place, but that car park is a monster!

The chefs in WA i come into contact with can get pretty experimental. These new greens could be the start of a new and really fun phase for restaurant industry. I just hope the old greens don't get all salty about it!

If fuel prices stay high it could put more pressure on the government to increase public transport, and increase livindensity in selected areas.

It also motivates people to be sparing, or find alternative means of transport that rely on fossil fuels less per person.

Over the long term it could aid in reshaping the state's capital city to be less car centric and maybe more walkable.

What do people think?

Are their any? So poor sleep patterns have meant I arrived in the city 45 minutes earlier than I needed to be and was wondering if there are any great cafes around that early? P.s. anyone else suffering from pets waking up with the magpies at 0340?
