If only we had the policing resources to go after real criminals. This whole incident smacks of preferential treatment.

At the same time pleading not guilty to attempted criminal damage, when you turnbup to the joint with paint filled balloons? Come on. I'm sure theres some technical legal reason they aren't pleading guilty to that. Maybe its because the prosecutor so obviously wants to make them, metaphorically, bleed, so making their job easier won't benefit the defendents in any way.

Good on the judge for tamping down on the zeal of the prosecution.

Pretty light on detail about the changes to the Act.

Something that sticks out to me with the surveys is, if the land owner doesn't agree to the survey, does that mean they can go ahead and develop the land at their will?

Surely they want to stay there as long as possible because its right on the Freeway, and right next to the city. For mixing purposes it seems like a good spot.

But i get a conrete plant that large next to your house might not be ideal.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to why the WA government supports the gas industry here so much. It can't be the current money we get in royalties because they aren't significantly different than other mining royalties. Its not like Gas is contributing Iron Ore levels of royalties to the state. From what i've previously looked up anyway.

In the article Bill Hare, from Climate Analytics states, “Academic studies have shown that the world is massively oversupplied with LNG capacity at the very time that Western Australia is planning to expand its capacity,”

But that statement doesn't cover whether the supplies are from reliable, geopolitically less risky sources. If the studies include, for example, Russian gas in the supply then it won't be one-to-one in terms of potential suppliers for potential buyers, as many nations, (the buyers), will want to limit or avoid their exposure to the geopolitical risks Russian gas may pose.

Short, but nice article on double brick housing in WA. It'll be interesting to see how the home construction industry here changes in the coming decades.

Photography is exhibited, telescopes are set up, and some really interesting talks about SKA and more..

Note: (If people feel this is too advertisee, i get it. Downvote it, and i'll delete the post)

I'm a little surprised an expansion is being considered. The reasoning for the scheme initially was only for containers normally thrown on the ground, instead of into the rubbish like wine bottles and spirits bottles 'usually' are.

How about those clouds hanging over Perth today. Looked like something out a fantasy novel.

Alright what kind of Innovation hub could work well in the Bayswater Industrial Area?

Its situated on the between the Midland Train line and the Swan River, not too far from the Perth Airport and Swan Valley.

Maybe some kind of wine industrial technology supplies area. Welding, glass making, precision instrumentation, theres a fair few products that go into wine making.

I wonder how long it would take for the quokkas to move back to their normal areas, 12 months, or maybe a winter season.

So thats King Neptunes back story! I wonder if the new developments have stuck to the nautical theme for the streets.
