Hi all, trying out a new banner for the community. Let me know if you like it. Are the purple colours against the yellow logo too much?

For those interested, its Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. I thought I'd go for a less photographed spot.

If anybody has a more popular suggestion I'd be happy to change it. This is a personal photo, I'd rather a suggested photo be owned by the person suggesting it. I can't verify, but your honour shall be on the line good sir or madam!

Roel Loopers thoughts on what could be done with Victoria Quay.

Hard to think about Bullsbrook being classed as metropolitan

Nothing like a bit of star power to get an early boost. I wonder what super relatable comments about the homeless he makes in this campaign. Hopefully none.

Hopefully funding for archaeology like this will be a little easier to come by after this find.

Very cool work. I hope the Gubinge's/Kakadu Plums grow well.

This reminds me of the one time i was able to go to Wildflower in the trustee building. I had my eyes opened to the amazing flavours of native flora. My fav were desert lemons

Sounds like a brewing mess due to poor communication. Maybe they should pick up the phone and talk to each other, instead of relying solely on letters.

383

Its a shame they'll have to come down. I get the insurances won't work with a new builder picking up where the old ones left off. But what a waste.

New book out for those who want to embrace their later years.

Act 3, by Sandra Ramini-Harris.

I have never heard someone refer to an older person as a "wrinkly senior" though.

This is a small change that sounds good. I'd live to know whatvthe builder's opinions on it are though.

Like, is the extra work spent on the "Life Cycle Assessment" worth the fast track approval?

The juxtaposition in this is powerfully done, with the images doing most of the talking for the atrocities. I like how Shelley James is even-handed with her criticism, of ourselves, of the global actors.

The only thing i can't agree on is that our children will be reading about this in textbooks. They won't be. How many people do you know studied the Yom Kippur war (or the like) in high school?

Well done to the writer very engaging.

Interesting tale about someone's family links to the Titanic

So i's getting a tow truck past this guys old farm today. I know its oldy, but damn that was a big cow. The tow teuck driver reckoned the farmer had to put him in the back fields otherwise everybody would stop along Forrest highway and have a gander.

34,000 solar panels, plus the rest of the kit, could go a long way to making kalgoorlie and boulder's energy system more stable after thebproblems they've had this week. Maybe Neoen have a ready buyer in the State.

Um, does anybody have anymore information about this plan?

"The PCEC's waterfront site" isn't there like two or three roads and a park between the convention centre and the river, is the plan to remove that stuff?

"A formal plan will be presented to the WA government later in 2024", is this the owners saying 'Money Please!'

Has this all started from the underground carpark issues with sinking?

"Activewear-clad cougar holding a yoga mat", belle weaves mental pictures in 4k.

This is maybe a little late, as they've been out for a few months now. But its always good to remind everyone.

Also bobtail flu? I see an Australian horror pic coming out of that! Maybe it could be called "Last Road-Train to Jerramungup"

Surprise find of the week.

Huntington Beach street-culture writ large. Deanna Templeton and husband Ed share their photos from the last 20 years. (Yes, that Ed Templeton of Toy Machine)

Looks like Alcoa Kwinana is set to close. sorry to all those people that are going to be impacted.

398

What does this mean for the financial viability of the festival?

399

Ah, the ol cash for access scheme.

It'll be interesting to see the effects the new donations laws will have on donor behaviour. I expect there'll be some more transparency but the 'cash for access' will carry on in some less obvious form.

Maybe severely overpriced Labor, Liberal, and Nationals coffee mugs! $8000 for a meet and greet with the mugs artwork designer, who also happens to be the premier. ;p

Anybody got the inside scoop?

The CEO seems pretty pleased with the work he'd done. I wonder what the other side of the story is. Hopefully we'll see some follow up information in the next few weeks.
