Overlord

I find the characters really interesting and fun. I was hoping that the series would be about Ainz making the guardians more human. I thought that was what they were doing with Sebas saving that girl and Cocytus wanting to save the lizard people. But it seems like this series is instead about Ainz becoming inhuman. I find his loneliness and complete incompetence to be sad character flaws I was hoping he could overcome, but it seem like he is instead digs himself deeper.

I feel like there are two different stories tugging at each other: one where Ainz values humans, and one where he becomes only what his guardians expect him to be.

I'll probably not watch anything more from this franchise unless the ending is one I find satisfactory. However, that will be hard because I don't think Ainz can atone for the thing's he's done in a satisfactory way.

His shoulders seem to be six feet apart when he's wearing the robes, but when he's out of them he has much more reasonable proportions.
