What the title says. Gibbs got 189 yards from scrimmage the raiders offense had 157 total yards on offense. I literally saw the Gibbs pick ranked a D this week by some YouTube sports channel. Hard to think any player drafted in the first 11 is worth the combination of Sam Laporta and Jahmyr Gibbs and yet Lions we’re roasted draft night. The crazy thing being with the way positions get paid, we can actually afford to resign both these guys if they continue to play at this level because en and TE are the 2 least paid offensive positions. Future looks bright for Detroit in a division where every other team is searching for an identity.

The Lions only play a single team with a winning record for their next 9 games (Cowboys). They also have lots of games against some of the weaker teams in the league including:

Lions:

2x Bears (2-5)

Packers (Home on Thanksgiving) (2-5)

2x Vikings (Kirkless)

Broncos (3-5)

Equally, the other top teams in the NFC have tough Schedules:

Eagles:

2x Cowboys

Chiefs

Eagles

49ers

Seahawks

49ers:

Jaguars

2x Seahawks

49ers

Ravens

Cowboys:

2x Eagles

Seahawks

Dolphins

Bills

We are now 24 games into the 85 total regular season games spanning the 5-year life of Deshaun Watson's record-breaking $230M guaranteed contract. In addition to $230M guaranteed, the Browns depleted their future draft capital by giving up three 1st-round picks, one 3rd-round pick, and two 4th-round picks.

Watson hasn't played much due to the suspension that was expected, but also due to recent injuries. When he has played, his performance has been sub-par. The timeline below, summarizes his contribution at a high-level.

28% of the $230M contract has led to the following...

  • Watson has played in only nine full games out of the first 24 games of his contract. 9 of 13 post-suspension.
  • 28% of the $230M has led to the team winning only five games with Watson on the field.
  • In Watsons 10 total games, he delivered an above league average ANY/A only two times. Thats right...aside from the fact that he hasn't played much, 80% of the time he has played, his performance was below average.

Neither one of these people are the worst head coach in their own division.

Heading into week 9, there’s a chance that going into week 10, that number could be around 47 or 48. The Giants, Steelers, Vikings, Cardinals, Falcons could all potentially start a different QB this week.

I think this could be a big contributing factor to offense dropping around the league. A lot of injuries at QB across the league has led to the likes of PJ Walker, Bagent, Trubisky, and others to play due to starting QB injuries.

The most in a single season was 87 during the strike year of 1987. I don’t think we will hit that mark, but this is still pretty impressive.

It seems most interceptions in the endzone are being run back but they seem to never make it to the 25. Is better coaching needed?

He's thrown for 9 interceptions in 6 games, also on pace for his first season without a positive TD-INT ratio.

Watching MNF and started thinking about the journeys of each player. Made me think.....what if you had to build and NFL franchise of current & retired players but could only pick players that were born or grew up in your home state?

I'm from Texas (duh), so I limited the list to people that were born in and played their whole high school career in Texas. Strahan was technically a military brat born in Germany but his family is from TX and he played high school and college ball in Texas, so it made sense to include him. Center, guard and tight end didn't feel the strongest. I focused on mostly on guys that were either HoF or close enough. Tried to mix old school and new school players but didn't dig that deep. If we can find more o-line depth, I like our chances being able to run the ball A LOT and then set up play-action. The defense is going to be nasty.........

QB - Patrick Mahomes, Drew Brees, Sammy Baugh

For the love of God NFL, save us from the Zach Wilson slaughter of the McDaniels Raiders on prime time television. Here are a few potential games that can be flexed in place of this monstrosity:

Jaguars vs 49ers
Ravens vs Browns
Chargers vs Lions

McDaniels gets Jones back who had he success with during Jones rookie year and Bill finally gets his original heir to Brady back.
