What should we make the icon of our news community? I was going to put an awkward picture of Rupert Murdoch, but there are probably less polarising options available. Post any suggestions below and I'll take a look

I think for what the Rural Fire Service does they should be paid, what kind of first world country do we live in where we don't pay all of our emergency services

• Events have also taken place internationally, with hundreds of people walking across Brooklyn Bridge in New York.
• Australians will head to the ballot box on 14 October to vote in the Voice to Parliament referendum.
