I see audit reports for Mullvad, but it seems none of them confirm that Mullvad is logless. Has this ever been audited?

Edit: As I said in a comment I've been using Mullvad for four years and it was just something I thought to check and found very little. Mullvad seems like a great company but I don't want to solely take their word for it. I'd like to see a definitive clear statement from an auditor on such an important topic. Hi, new to mullvad, and I'm trying to find a way to open the GUI application on boot on linux (fedora). I know that I can schedule a cron job to connect using the terminal command, but I would like the tray icon to always display. Any help appreciated!

Hello Mullvad community,

I've been experiencing an issue with split tunneling on my system. For some reason, the split tunneling feature works perfectly with most of my applications, but it doesn't seem to work with Safari at all.

When I configure other apps to bypass the VPN tunnel, they connect directly to the internet as expected. However, when I add Safari to the split tunnel list, it still routes through the VPN connection instead of bypassing it.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is this a known limitation with Safari specifically? I've tried restarting the app, my computer, and even reinstalling Mullvad, but the problem persists.

My setup:

• Mullvad version: 2025.03
• OS: MacOS

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!

I recently changed from ExpressVPN to MullvadVPN, on both laptop and iPhone. Normally I use 3-4 GB of mobile data per month. This month, I used 15GB in less than three weeks, without any changes in my habits.

Has anyone else had this experience? Why does Mullvad use more mobile data? Any advice on how to reduce Mullvad's mobile data load?

Hi everyone,

When using Mullvad VPN, does traffic to localhost (127.0.0.1) or other loopback addresses route through the VPN, or does it remain local to the machine? Or do I need to manually whitelist these addresses? Thank you!

I understand tailscale and mullvad are supposed to work together on Android phones.

How can I achieve this as I can't see any options on either mullvad or tailscale app?

I currently have nordvpn but Android only lets you have one vpn turned on, either tailscale or Nord so this doesn't work.

Was hoping mullvad can fix this on Android but can't see an option?

Please advise if you managed to do it.

ps. Dear Admin = I'm unclear how this is FUD? Unless you can please advise how we can use anonymous mullvad accounts via tailscale? It seems they don't allow using existing anonymous accounts, so have to purchase via tailscale = disclosing full credit card and other details. If I'm wrong, happy to be corrected? thanks

Now that's it , we can use DNScrypt resolve DNS pollution , but Mullvad VPN CLI not support spilt IP , so I think use nekoray run wireguard config

nekoray's TUN mode support bypass some IP and process , that's we can resolve DNS Pollution when we connect VPN server

What’s is going on with mullvad? Every time an update is pushed out on their servers, websites stop working. I cannot load any canon websites or even holiday websites like Tui on any uk server!

It’s pointless having mullvad at this rate. I might as well just switch the internet off.

Tried to download firmware and UI for a obsbot webcam and every time I try the web page is broken and slow and their software download server won't let me through.

....don't believe me? Try visiting obsbot.com and attempt to download any of the software for any of their webcams and you'll see for yourself.

I had to disable mullvad and do all this without a tunnel and of course that was the issue.

I would like to ask if there is any way for iOS to use the OpenVPN bridge server like PC? I didn't find the guide for iOS on the Mullvad website.

The country I am currently traveling to is censoring the Internet, and the stability of Wireguard Shadowsocks and UDP over TCP confusion on iOS is far less than that of OpenVPN Bridge on my PC, and the network always has unexpected connection interruptions.

I'm trying to set up mullvad on a "new" (windows 10) computer with a fresh windows install and having trouble with a pretty basic part of the setup. Under "network connections" my old computer shows mullvad and my wifi as the only active and if you check the status the wifi shows no internet access for ipv4 or ipv6. On the new computer it is still showing the wifi as having internet access in both ipv4 and ipv6 (edit: down to just ipv4 access now after reboot). I can't figure out how I did this originally and I'd love to recreate it because it sounds like it's forcing everything through mullvad more securely.

Another way I'm noticing the discrepancy... In settings->network status the old computer shows comp -> mullvad -> globe. New computer shows comp -> wifi -> globe. There is some simple setting I can't find, surely. But none of the set up guides are telling me how and I haven't been able to find it.

One other / probably same discrepancy. Under network and sharing center, old computer shows mullvad first in the list then wifi second, with wifi access type 'no internet access' and mullvad access type 'Internet'. New computer shows wifi first and both have access type internet. But it's not disabled or anything so I doubt I can just disable it on the new computer.

I swear there were setup guides on the mullvad site that I followed last time that aren't there anymore. Thanks for the help! I didn't use the VPN setting in windows settings for the old computer and I haven't tried it for the new one because it wasn't what I did last time clearly.

I have been using mullvad on my home server with Emby installed and everything has worked locally for quite some time. Now, I'm trying to expose that same Emby server externally. I can see the traffic being routed through my router to my server appropriately via wireshark. I have Emby split-tunneled. I think this is true because I see it in the process list from mullvad split-tunnel list and the "Remote Access IP" is accurate to whatismyip.org.

If I turn mullvad off, the incoming TCP SYNs are ACKd correctly. When I turn mullvad on, the SYNs just sit there with no corresponding ACKs. I assume this is because it is trying to respond through the VPN and since it's not the same route it breaks? Either that, or there is some DNS issue. I use a pi-hole locally (it's running on that same server).

Anyone run into this or have any ideas? Is there a better way to go about it altogether?

So a couple days ago I turned on mullvad and connected to one of the Indonesian VPN servers and the windows weather/news tab at the bottom right of my screen has been stuck in Indonesian ever since regardless if I'm connected to an Indonesian server or if the VPN is even on at all. can anyone help?

The Stockholm server lags a lot of the time (I assume because it's the default for Sweden), so much so that I use the Gothenburg ones even though I live close to Stockholm.

Is there a way to add a server more in the middle of the country, maybe one close to Dalarna or above to spread out where people connect? Or maybe improve that specific server?

I’ve been using Mullvad for a while and generally love it, but lately I’ve noticed that all the Norway servers I connect to seem to be detectable (e.g., by some websites or services). Not sure if it’s just me or if something’s changed on their end. Anyone know if Mullvad has plans to add new servers in Norway or maybe refresh the existing ones? It’d suck if this location stopped being reliable.

OK this might be an obscure question so not sure if anyone will be able to help, but thought I'd give it a shot anyway.

I'm running a Plex server on my new Raspberry Pi 5. I use the built-in Raspberry Pi Connect service to remote desktop into the Pi when I'm out of the house in order to manage it. It all works well at the moment, mostly.

I've been using the wireguard command line interface along with a desktop shortcut to connect to Mullvad Wireguard servers (for example us-atl-wg-201). It works well most of the time, however sometimes it will drop and mess up the connection and I won't be able to get it back until I'm home and can physically restart the Pi.

So I downloaded the Mullvad App which loads well on the Pi. I am able to connect OK, however this is when some serious UI lag kicks in while remote desktop'ing in which was not there when connecting via command line. I'm connecting to the same server.

I'm wondering why there is intense (almost unusable lag) when connecting to the WG server via the Mullvad app, but essentially no lag when connecting to the same server via command line, and if there was any way to reduce the lag when using the app?

Is there any update on the Mullvad situation in China. I know it got bad just before the two sessions. And a few days ago I found only Brazil servers are the ones I can connect to.

I just wondered if anyone has been able to connect to UK servers - a big reason for choosing Mullvad was it's ability to work and connect to my travel router so I can watch UK TV.

My credit rund out soon so I was wondering if it was worth buying or time to switch permanently to another. (LetsVPN is my back up, I would need a new first choice if Mullvad isn't fixed).
