In the year 20XX, cities were suddenly flooded with demons in the form of monsters and spirits that suddenly appeared in the city, sparking an all-out Demon War.

Even now, more than 30 years later, demons still roam the streets and harm humans wherever they go.

In this exploration-heavy 2D action game, use your demon sword to interfere with the past, create platforms, and shield yourself from danger to explore a dystopian cyberpunk world depicted in gorgeously animated pixel art.

Lightwood is a fast-paced action adventure Metroidvania game inspired by Hollow Knight, The Legend of Zelda, and Dark Souls. Noreya: The Gold Project is a 2D pixel-art metroidvania game set in a dark fantasy universe.The game offers players a choice between allegiance to the Gods of Light and Shadow or the gods of Corruption and Gold! But be careful! Decisions made in the game affect players progress by unlocking new paths or abilities.

Could be good news — reviews were decidedly mixed for this game: great art direction and puzzles, bad mechanics. Maybe it can live up to its full potential.

I wasn’t aware that this game was a “Metroidvania”…

Was originally set to be released on Sep 21, 2023. The delay is due to complications related to a same-day multi-platform release.

Out in 2024. Looks stylistically similar to F.I.S.T. Looking at the trailer, maybe it has split screen multiplayer. Will have a traditional Metroidvania overworld with some rouge like procedurally generated dungeons
