Memmy - An iOS client for Lemmy

I wish I could give cred to the original poster but it’s been 84 years, man!

It would be great to have some long press actions on the bottom bar. For example what I would really love to see is:

• Long press on Feed to switch between All/Subscribed/Local
• Long press on Profile to switch Profiles

In my opinion this would drastically improve ergonomics.

For the life of me I can’t figure this out. I’m sure it’s a simple thing. Please help.

Would be nice to be able to click links like so and be brought directly to the community to browse or subscribe.

Is it correct that there are no modding tools or tools for editing an post?

I'm trying to know what is the URL Scheme of the app to limit its usage limit using OneSec (I'm kind of addicted to lemmy 😓) can you help me? I already tried with memmy://

Does Memmy support the 2fa implementation currently available on lemmy instances? I enabled it after the latest security issue, but now I cannot seem to log in.

When I try I get a error that need to provide the TOTP code.

I don’t see any open (or closed) GitHub issues referencing it.

Lemmy is getting pretty active! Some posts have hundreds of comments now.

The app desperately needs a comment navigation button. The way this worked in most reddit apps is a single little button that hovers over the comments. A single press will take you down one thread. A hold will take you up one thread.

Is this something that's planned or in beta?

For long community names like accidentalrennaisance, there are a few UI bugs - on the search results page, and on the community homepage.

It would be nice if the app automatically marks a post as read as soon as the user scrolls past it. Apollo had this feature.

I recall it had the mouse on it. Now I have the purple world.

I love memmy and its design, but there‘s one minor annoyance: the lines next to subcomments. Is it possible to move them to the left so they align with the left edge of their parent comment? It would declutter the look and make more space.

That would be a much appreciated feature.

I would like to have a option to show only favorites in the homefeed. Is this somehow possible and I didnt see it?

When there are more than 2 images in a post,i can't figure it out how to view all the images🙁

Over night I had a LOT of reports come in about a crash. I have fixed these issues and this version is now live on both the App Store and TestFlight.

First I just want to say how wild it is how this app came together so quickly and so solidly. Only bugs I’ve run into have been with the instance and not the app! Kudos to the devs!!!

I do have one feature request - please remember the last sort used when switching views. For example: In Subscribed view, I like to sort by new. For All view, I like to sort by hot. It would be nice if I could switch between the two without having to then re-sort. Not a big deal, just a convenience. Thanks for your time!

So when I tap and open a image previously I was able to swipe up and go back to the post now it won’t let me I can just swipe left and right but not up or down to cancel the image off my screen

When you use an iPad in splitscreen mode some parts of the app are not correctly scaled.

For example: searchbar is cutoff, an image is cut off and even when I post this message the bar above the keyboard is cutoff.

Thanks for all the hard work, I guess the iPad is not top priority but I thought I let you know! 😄

Am I just too stupid to figure it out or isn’t it supported? Whenever I see a post with more than 2 pics I can only view the first two one, clicking on the link in the post to the gallery just shows a single image. Think the last one I tried in was a gallery from catbox.moe.

Hello everyone I figured i'll make this a regular post when a new update hits the public channel. (also if anyone has anything to add feel free to comment) Now in no particular order:

• the fix for "show all comments" when looking at a specific comment context is very welcome. Make navigation way easier.

• the top right icons, I'd suggest moving the globe icon (the one that lets you look at subscribed, local, All) over to the left. feels kinda crowded right now.

• notification bug. if you have 2 accounts once you enable notifications for one of them when you try and enable for the other Memmy hard locks and you have to force restart the app. (if this isn't a bug but a notification limitation my apologies)

• love the UI change on the profile page. (although it feels like a lot of steps to see your comment and or posts now, know from my previous post you're looking into the possibly of a unified feed for the profile page. if this is a side effect of that I'm cool with how it looks right now!)

• when opening the app (a fresh open, not loading it from memory) there's a bright flash when the opening process happens. not sure if that's iOS or Memmy doing that.

• THANK YOU for community favicons on posts when using the feed. it makes it so much easier when looking quickly

thats what I can think of off the top of my head. I'm not in the TestFlight so if any of these issue are fixed then thank you. And thank you @gkd (idk how lemmy tagging works right now, sorry if that doesn't work) for making such a great app. 2 releases in and it feels like home.-----

So I’ve noticed that, in most cases, if you sort by “Top: Last 6 hours,” a lot of posts (obviously) won’t show up. This is mainly true for threads that don’t have many comments, updoots, or both.

Could we maybe have an option to select “All”? Some of the smaller posts may be completely overlooked.

If I’m missing the option and it’s already available, feel free to nuke this post from orbit.

Can’t we have something cooler than a Saturn icon? Were there some legal issues with the previous one?

I’m using Dracula purple theme and the top buttons colors are inconsistent throughout the app. Found issues in the Accounts settings, also new post top buttons are the wrong color.
