is it possible to change the app language ? in german, the word for settings is to long and breaks into 2 lines which looks awful...

It looks so much nicer!!! I like the animation of it sliding out

Quick feedback on the new traverse UI:

I hated it for about 10 seconds. Then I realized I can swipe to open the drawer. Then I liked it.

Maybe I’m blind or didn’t found the setting yet. Is there a way to show the liked posts? I’ve only found this for the saved posts. Would be a good feature for the app, cause now I need to save some good posts that I normally would just “liked” to find them later.

I don’t know if this is a Lemmy limitation or something with Memmy but I’ve noticed for image sets in posts you can’t scroll/swipe through them it’s all individual links. Is this something that can be improved upon?

I just thought I’d throw this out there.. I came across a remind me bot which would be a game changer if it could be built into the app as an auto post.. though I guess it’s relying on an external service.. perhaps a collab?

I see there are no specific apps for kbin, if I create a kbin account, will I be able to use it from Memmy?

Hey all!

This should be available sometime later in the day. Huge thanks for a few new contributors - @joshua-davis-rose and @bohn002 - for putting in a lot of work as well.

• Subscriptions now available in a drawer instead of "Traverse". More of an Apollo-esque style
• Switch accounts by pressing and holding the profile button. Feed header now allows you to select Local/All/Subscriptions
• Continuing to improve image viewer
• Saving images and sharing images now uses the cached files to share, so you don't need to re-download them
• Alphabetized subscription list
• Community about screen now shows moderators
• You can swipe back using anywhere in the tab bar (I've been experimenting with full-screen swipe back as well, once I get that ironed out a bit more we will add that too)
• UI now uses the iOS 14+ dropdowns for context menus
• Cleaned up some issues with longer community names, but there are still more to handle. Keep an eye out.
• Subscriber count is now in the community search
• All NSFW image issues should be fixed
• Lots of performance enhancements around the app
• Also lots of bug fixes, especially for a few newly discovered crashes

Please be sure to report any issues to the GitHub if you can. It is much easier to track there than it is here. There's a lot of traffic, so it's hard to keep track of all of it!

Is there a way to see the popular content only for my subscriptions?

Currently the « feed » tab shows the popular content of every communities

As the title says. I’d like the ability to jump back to the position i was at in my feed. For example, if I clicked on Feed and it took me to the top, I should be able to click it again or the top bar and have it jump back down to my original position prior to clicking Feed.

Firstly, thank you for incorporating landscape mode - when charging a phone it’s so much more comfortable to use.

At the moment landscape mode doesn’t increase the width to fill the screen, but more importantly when coming back to portrait the UI takes a while to adjust - sometimes not all of the “buttons” make it to the right place.

Zooming in on an image always acts as if you are pinching in the centre; makes it difficult to eg read four-panel comics where you need to zoom in the text and move around easily.

I just saw the voyager app is implementing this, can we get it on Memmy?

When switching between All/Local/Subscribed — consider marking the current selection in bold in the menu, rather than adding the word “(Current)”. This would shorten the menu text and might make it simpler to localize.

It appears Memmy doesn’t support 2FA enabled accounts? When I try and login I get an error saying “I must enter my token” but there’s no place to add the token to the login screen.

Any advice? Or should I just wait for an update and use the web client?

I liked this feature in Apollo. The read posts were hidden only in feed, but when I opened specific subreddit, all posts were visible.

Also mark posts as read on scroll would be perfect.

I've been getting this error for a while now. Tried logging out and deleting and reinstalling the app but nothing has worked yet.

I really liked the ability in Apollo to filter keywords. I had set it to filter everything Elon Musk out, eg Elon, Spacex, Tesla, Musk, etc

Is there such a feature planned? Anyone else liked/used that feature in Apollo/other apps?

Also: great work on Memmy, you should definitely think about a paid version asap. I would definitely buy a one time purchase or even a monthly/yearly subscription, if there is a roadmap.

Behavior started a few updates ago for me. If I go to answer a text or check any other app, when I come back to Memmy the app won’t let me click on posts for 10-20 seconds

Am I dumb or do albums not work right yet? I can’t seem to figure out how to pan from one picture to the next and so I can only see the two pictures that have thumbnails in the feed.

So yeah, I’m using Memmy as my desktop Lemmy client.

I does work OKish. I just wish there was a refresh button.

Any ideas why sometimes tapping the upvote or downvote arrow on iOS shows the tap animation, but doesn’t then turn the arrow button to orange? Anyone else seeing this? A second tap registers correctly.

Wondering if it’s the app not getting a reply from the server, or a bug in iOS, or a bug in the app.

When I try to comment I get an error “Cannot post in this language on this server”.
