Memmy - An iOS client for Lemmy

Pictures that were posted within the text are hardly accessible, some not at all.

I don’t know if it’s already a known issue and if someone is already working on it, just wanted to quickly inform about this issue. Thanks for your awesome work and developing this app!

I’ve got my theme set to Embark but it’s not changing the colours. It was fine until a few mins ago. I opened the app and the theme has reverted to the default, but the selection is still on Embark.

I’m loving Memmy and have some suggestions but I don’t want to spam them out if there is already a list. If there is a list or roadmap could that be put in a stickied post?

Not sure if it’s a bug or simply not yet implemented.

The blue button in the bottom right of the app to mark read doesn’t seem to work too good for me. Is it me or is it not that useful.

It only seems to hide a single post when the scrolling stops but hitting it every time I stop at a post is kinda repetitive.

Is there a way to change it to mark read all posts above? That was super useful in Apollo.

I would like to change my Gmail for Proton Mail. The monthly option for Mail Plus seems reasonable to me. The cost for Unlimited seems a bit too high. I don't like paying 1 or 2 years in advance.

Proton Support said it is impossible to combine Proton Mail Plus monthly with the Pass Plus for 12 euros/year.

Is there really no possibility?

Does anyone else experience, what I’m calling, the flash bang bug? Where when switching back into the app it switches from dark mode to light mode?

I do have match system theme set but it seems to get confused at night and loads the white one first when switching back to the app causing a flash bang.

I can’t seem to find how to delete or edit posts from the app. I manage to edit and delete comments properly though.

Browse posts, click on one, save it.

You can’t unsave it anymore from this page, you have to go back to the posts list to unsave it.

This error is not new, and it is quite annoying. I assume it has to do with the size of the Font that the user chooses, but if below it already shows the instance to which the community belongs, why put it there too?

P.S: I don't want to sound ungrateful, your work besides fast, has been commendable, this app makes Lemmy a much more enjoyable place.

It was one of the best features of Apollo. I’m getting really bored of filtering the endless amount of furry subs. Jfc there’s so many.

I search for “technology” in communities, and this is my result. I was expecting the biggest communities to be easy to find. Couldn’t find the main one I was looking for anywhere in the huge list of 2 or 3 member communities.

Shouldn’t a community that’s just called “technology @whatever” be above a small community that might have technology in its description?

Not sure if this is a Lemmy issue not a Memmy issue

I recently tried to make an image post with Memmy, but when I clicked the camera button it only allows images to be picked from the Photos library. I generally try to not give Photos library access to apps, and the image I wanted to post was in Files anyway. Memmy would be better is it had the ability to add photos from other sources than just the Photos library.

I think there is also better image/photo file handling coming in iOS 17 also - maybe this could be made use of.

I’m on the latest version from today. I seem to be getting some weird gaps as I scroll through the feed. The image shows an example.

I found myself in a specific community I am subscribed to and wanted to search only that community’s posts, but couldn’t.

I can search with the actual search function in app, but it would search all communities or all posts.

I am able to change the post sorting on communities that I am subscribed to, but I can't seem to do so on communities that I am not subscribed to.

Setting is enable. On version 0.5(3). From feed, if I click on an image thumbnail, it will not mark the post as read like it did before.

Absolutely loving this app so far, but for the past few days, any kind of interaction in the interface takes 10-20 seconds to register - viewing posts/comments/profile, upvoting, commenting, etc. At first, I thought maybe the Lemmy instances are having issues with increased traffice, but I downloaded and tried the 'Liftoff!' app (which is also great, but not quite as polished/feature rich as Memmy) and it appears to be working fine. Anyone else? Should I try reinstalling?

Is this a Memmy bug? Or a Lemmy bug? Or a feature I’m not aware of and don’t understand?

I have 2 accounts on 2 separate instances, but I don't get how to switch the currently used account in the settings, I'm stuck on the second one I added

Would be neat if double tapping on a zoomed in pic reset the zoom back to 0%. I’m super used to that from Apollo and haven’t gotten it out of my muscle memory yet.
