Anyone having any issues with clicking the messages/mentions tabs on inbox, nothing seems to happen, maybe just added for future use or I’m being dumb

Just a little bug:

If I go to a comment from my profile, then click load all comments instead of just the original comment thread, then try to sort, it only shows the original comment thread again and doesn’t sort all comments.

QoL feature after main bug fixes: Since there’s multiple communities per server, can the member count be shown in the search results to know which one could possibly be providing more content?

Really miss the Possibility to create custom feeds, containing different Subs (or communities). For example I had one that I called 3D Printing. When I chose it it was showing me posts from all the communities I added when creating it. So it made a feed containing posts on a specific topic over multiple communities. Especially here on Lemmy, where are some communities about the same topic spread over different instances that would make things a lot easier.

How do I donate to the developer?

If there is a way, please point me in the direction of it.

If there isn’t I am happy to donate, money, crypto, gift cards, blood to anything the developer sets up.

I know it’s something people feel funny setting up for themselves but for the sustained motivation of advancing development it has to exist and it would be nice if it isn’t an in-app purchase (when the app is eventually in production) where corporations take large cuts.

Is it possible to add deleting and editing posts and comments?

Hi, currently if we swipe left in the sub menu we get the option for comment.

I dont use that often, I rather read the thread and comment from there. I used the swipe left mostly for going back to the latest post. Maybe we can have a option to set our own gestures?

I feel really stupid and that I’m missing something really obvious but how exactly do I download Memmy? I’m interested in trying Memmy out and my idiot self just cannot figure out how.

I was just noticing some typos (basically an incoherent sentence) in one of my posts, and i do not see a way to edit my post. I checked and i can edit my comments, but not my post.

When a post contains an album of multiple images, I can only see the first image in Memmy, but I can confirm via the web that the post contains multiple images.

I haven’t seen anyone else complain about this - am I missing how to do this? Do others not care, or not realize there are multiple images?

Probably one of the most convenient QoL features in Apollo was using Haptic Touch (ie long-pressing) to get a quick peek at the parent comment. It also gave you the option to jump back to the parent comment as a quick way to sip around through a post.

It was a super-near QoL addition that made Apollo really nice to use, and I’d love to see it on Memmy as well!

Thoughts? Feel free to be candid - you won't hurt my feelings!

When I tap the link to get the app on the GitHub page, TestFlight opens, but says the Beta program is full. Is there a plan to expand the beta?

Maybe just a few more pixels between them?

First post! I’m using the memmy beta and really impressed so far how easy it is to use - really like the UI as well but one feature I really liked on Apollo was being able to swipe right over the bottom of tabs to go back rather than having to reach for the back button at the top of the screen. Would be a great quality of life feature for me don’t know how others feel?

Lots of changes today! Here we go, but first huge thank you to the multiple people who helped out with a lot today with PRs! Lots of good advice, performance, and refactoring!

• Crash during signup was fixed
• The ... button at the top of the feed screen has been replaced. It now shows an icon depending on whichever view you're looking at (subscribed, local, etc) (Thanks to https://github.com/jacksonopp)
• A message will now be presented if you look at the subscriptions screen and you don't have any
• Feed view has been optimized. Huge thanks to https://github.com/beardwin for his advice on optimization as well as other React Native advice!
• The header dropdown drawer is now animated as well thanks to https://github.com/beardwin
• There should be better handling of images that are inside of markdown, especially in the feed view
• Haptic feedback is now played on all post actions as well as the bookmark option on the feed view
• All images should now save. Previously, there was an issue saving webp images (which a lot of people seem to share). Shouldn't be a problem now
• The keyboard accessory in the post view is fixed. It won't disappear anymore.
• Sharing links with markdown now gives you some dialogs to make this easy. Just set the link and set the label.
• The selected option is now listed in the action sheet for selecting a sort (thanks again to Thanks to https://github.com/jacksonopp)
• There is now better visibility for showing the OP of a post
• Comments now collapse to a much smaller size so they get out of your way (thanks to https://github.com/ktgd)

Lots more fixes will be coming tomorrow as well. Doing a lot of cleanup right now, things are only going up from here!

Getting an error that says language not allowed when trying to post comments. Appears random; can comment within some communities and get it on some threads but not others

Also, is it possible to search within a community? I see the ability to search for communities and to search for posts but not to search for posts within a community. So sorry if this has been posted about, couldn’t figure that one out. Great app so far though!

As title says, once you select “New” for default sort, it shows you chose “MostCommented” (with no space). Choosing “Most Commented” shows you chose “Most Commented” (with the space)

In the last releases when I send a post or a reply, the app spends a lot if time processing and finally I get an error about JSON format (but the post or reply was sent)

Is there a way to sort comments? Have not been able to figure it out. I prefer to sort posts by Hot and comments by Top.

Apologies if this has been discussed and asked. I also do not see a way to search within a community to see if this topic has been discussed already.

Edit: this has since been implemented. Both in settings and when viewing comments.

What makes some links show an image vs others that don’t?

When I navigate to ones that don’t, the web pages have images.

Are there plans to support multiple accounts in the profile tab? Seems like it just picks the first one in the list.
