Memmy - An iOS client for Lemmy

I know they must have taken a good amount of work, but I dislike the animations for collapsing comments, they’re quite slow and distracting. Is there a planned option to disable them?

Something from Apollo which I found useful. If we can customize swipe gestures and allow us to mark read using gestures.

In the current implementation one has to open each individual image one by one in multi-image post.

It would be nice if we could scroll through images like one would in a photo gallery app.

Anyone else experiencing this? When I click on an image and hit the share button, it freezes on “downloading image…”.

The counter for the “upvotes” on post and comments are all over the place. They change all the time, sometimes showing just a zero. It’s not really important, just weird. Maybe it has something to do with the update of the server

First error I’ve encountered in a while, I was posting a reply to a different message in the notification tab at the bottom and when I went back to scrolling the reply showed up on the post that I was reading in the main tab. I just sent a debug log, figured I’d follow it up with a screenshot and a post here.

You guys are killing it with the progress, this app kicks ass.

Because this app is phenomenal

Any time I try to comment, I get a language not allowed error.

Anyone else get this?

I just wanted to say that with the last two/three updates Memmy has become even better! The user experience is great and my Lemmy journey is a lot more pleasant with this app

If I click on a post that has an album with several images i can only see the posts that showed up in the initial thumbnail. It shows me on the thumbnail (7 images) but theres no way through to them.

I have just installed the last version and it comes with some errors:

• I can't set NEW as default option for sort posts in config
• I can't see communities wich I am subscripted
• When I search the communities section is always empty

Sorry if I missed it but is there a way to show the clock in the status bar on iPhone? Thanks!

I have the option to hide read posts enabled, but they’re still showing up.

Am I expecting the wrong thing or is there something else I need to do?

An editable list of blocked communities would be useful.

I know that I have direct messages from seeing them in the browser and other test apps, but they don’t appear to show up in the Memmy inbox. Wasn’t sure if those was in the roadmap, so raising the issue. Keep up the great work!

Sometime, I can see gif on my feed, does anyone know how to archive that ? When I try to upload one, it show me a error message !

In order to get up to speed with the people that are coming here without TestFlight, I've submitted a build to Apple with all of the current features and fixes.

I'd anticipate this to take about 24 hours, but it's possible it will be reviewed today. Apple is weird. I've had things get approved in like 8 hours on Saturdays before, so there's a chance it will happen today. I'll update you all when that happens.

• Fix issues with toast not changing color or disappearing
• Fix cake day showing the wrong year
• Fix issue where links with an internal IP address would ask for permission to local network
• Fix issues with account disappearing after app launch
• Read icon now uses the correct color
• Fix crash caused when pressing Matrix links
• Fix crash when searching for a community with an @ at the end

If any of these issues are bothering you now, rest assured they will be fixed for you quite soon.

Just wanted to say the new icon looks very nice, a great change from the last one. Kudos on the work!

The new TestFlight app 0.1.0 (4) is superb. However I am still hoping to see a ‘mark read on scroll’ option at some point soon.

Is that on the roadmap? It’s one feature that Apollo and ReddPlanet had that I really appreciated.

The animation seems to always be different, sometimes it shrinks normally, sometimes it jump weirdly, …

I would expect something more in line with wefwef/Apollo animation, really easy to see what’s happening

Also I had this weird bug were replies to a comment would still be visible although I collapsed the parent comment but I currently can’t reproduce it with the latest version

As the title say, when post have multiple images, I would be nice to be able to just slide to show the next one !

So, does anyone know how we can created a community on Memmy ?

Will there ever be an option to jump down to the next original comment in a thread? Instead of collapsing the comments, just a little button to jump down past the reply’s to the next comment?

Also in the future, could we switch the swipe side that the upvote/downvote is on? I was so used to swiping right to left to bring the upvote/downvotes on Apollo.

This app is great so far, fantastic work! No need to rush on these little quality of life things.
