How do i sign into the memmy app it keeps saying i need to join a server, I’ve subbed to lemmy world page but I still can’t join could you help me please, thank you

After reporting a post, the notification stays on the e screen.

hey memmy team - the profile upvote count seem to reset when posts are removed - or some other action is triggering a reset of those values

Maybe I’m just missing something in the interface, but I wanted to check here before opening an issue in GitHub. When I get a notification about a reply to a comment I’ve made, tapping the notification brings me to my comment and the reply. I would also expect to see a button to show the full thread, so I can see context. Does anyone know of a way to do this, or is that feature not implemented yet?

Hey all. A serious family medical emergency came up today. I do not really know how it's going to turn out right now, so you might not see as much from me for a few days. The release to the App Store is still in process, we are just waiting for a review from Apple, this will not affect that.

If it goes on for a bit, I will make sure that Sean knows how to process a build and release to TestFlight and subsequently to the App Store. I am hopeful that things will turn out alright but it's a pretty scary situation and I'm honestly not sure.

I'll be around in the evenings and will do a bit of work, but I likely will not be reading or replying to anything here. Your feedback will still be monitored and we will be going over that. Additionally, for bug reports, I highly recommend opening an issue on GitHub. It is incredibly easier to read and follow issues opened there. Things here are quickly buried and hard to find.

I don’t know if it’s possible (I don’t know if Apple authorize it) but is it possible to open links in the « native safari browser » instead of this « embedded browser » like currently when I click a link in a post? I have extensions configured in Safari, and don’t seem to be used when navigating to a link from a post in Memmy. Perhaps a switch in the settings to let the user decide how to open external links?

Haven‘t seen that reported already, once a comment is sent is there no option to edit it, or am I just too blind to see?

Is anyone else having issues with an album of more than 2 pictures? I might be out of the loop on whether this is coming in a future update or maybe I’m completely stupid. Feel free to correct me!

Anyone experiencing issues where GIFs either outright don’t load (thus making the post appear as only a text post) or that gifs only show their starting frame?

Hello Memmy community!

/u/L4s@lemmy.world keeps popping up in my feed as they are quite prolific with their posts. On Memmy whenever I interact with their posts there is no link displayed to go to the article that they are sharing. All other link posts show the links as you’d normally expect. So I’m not sure if it is how this user is posting their posts or what. For what it’s worth the link appears on other apps, such as wefwef.

I’m having an issue where I can’t add a photo from my library when creating a post, if I click the camera icon, which would normally open library, nothing happens.

I’ve checked the permissions for the app and the only photo permission and the option “Add photos only” is selected

I’m using iOS beta 17 v3, so it could be a beta os issue

I would love a mark read on scroll similar to what Apollo allowed.

if i open an image that’s tall enough, i can’t see the top of it since it hides behind the notch on my phone (13 mini). is there a way to make it so that the “ceiling” is below the notch instead of right to the top of the screen?

also, only a bit related, one feature that was nice in a certain other app was that if you double-tapped a tall image to zoom in, it would zoom to fit the screen width instead of just a small amount at whatever point you tapped on. you also wouldn’t be able to move the image left/right off the screen, it only let you move it left and right after some of the image was already off the screen side from zooming in. is this doable?

This feature was one of the most convenient things I’ve ever experienced in any app ever. It’s one of the reasons that Apollo was so endearing to me and others I’m sure. And I’ve never seen any other app that does it. If there is any way this could be implemented it would elevate Memmy above all others.

Many of my communities that I am subscribed to do now show any posts when I try to view the community page on the app. When I view the pages on the website posts do show up however.

You can add multiple accounts with Memmy. But how do you switch between those accounts?

Bonus feature request: see all subscriptions from all accounts in traverse view.

Freezes the entire app and I have to close/reopen to fix it. Never managed to have this work since the change.

On the “all” timeline I see posts by bots that I want to filter out. I have tried blocking the “lemmit bot” in Memmy, but I still see its posts.

I’m not sure what it is, but have seen the number jump and down a few times.

I just started using Memmy and I’ve seen several posts that have multiple images but I can’t figure out how to view them. Im only able to click the cover photo but can’t scroll to view the rest. Any help would be appreciated.

When searching for communities, is there a way to maybe sort it by number of subscribers? It’s rough finding a good community when you need to go in and out of each one to find one with a decent number of users. Thanks!

Running IOS version, can post to the body of of a thread, but unable to reply to comments in any way, shape or form. Not even the option to do so. Not in-thread, not from inbox. Only options are report or copy text/link

I love the new feature to hide posts! But it's a bit clunky if I want to find an older post. Any chance we can get an option to not hide posts when viewing a specific community? I.e. Only hide posts when I'm scrolling through the main feeds.
