I fear I know the answer but would it be possible to change the handle later on? I know it’s sentimental but I’d like to change just the handle instead of the whole account.

The answers I saw are a bit outdated therefore I thought I give it a try to ask here.

OK, this has started to bother me enough to ask about it:
Is it possible to make Local and Global feeds show all posts, even the replies to initial posts?
Is this a server-side setting or a client-side setting? I'm using web interface on desktop and Tusky on phone.
Or is it something that is intentionally designed tp not be possible?

Has anybody else had issues with Mastodon and desktop webpush notifications? I have them enabled on my PC's web browser, Firefox. I made certain to allow notifications. Yet, I don't get any. I read somewhere that regenerating the vapid key pair can fix the problem so I did this but still nothing. I welcome any ideas.

This post is not only to try finding the best Mastodon instance/server but I also wanted to express about the Mastodon instances. Most of Mastodon servers are apparently harsh about other instances that include things they don't like and are quite serious about getting those Internet points putting how the place isn't welcome for "bigotry" and is for everyone and so diverse, and I wouldn't have any problems with this if this wasn't frequently used by people who will try to shut you if they disagree enough with you and will try to present themselves as so virtuous. You'd expect that the free side of the Internet would have people that value freedom and should let anything that isn't a crime or something that prejudice the instance itself or whatever space they're in but it seems this vision is getting far from the reality with time.

This has everything from academic journals to newspapers.

Today I got my first bot follower on Mastodon. Is there a way to remove it? I only see block available, but I’m not 100% sure what that does and I’d prefer not to have a porn account follow me. Any help?

From Mastodon we can follow Lemmy communities (shown as Groups). From this https://vijayprema.com/using-lemmy-from-my-existing-mastodon/ I learned how to post directly into Lemmy community.

But to reply or upvote a Lemmy comments from Mastodon, we need to copy-paste Lemmy comment link into Mastodon searchbar.

Perhaps any Mastodon app developer can add better support for Lemmy?

The mastodon instance that I have been using Sself.co seems to be down I can log on but nothing I post seems to get to the server

The default shows you the most recent post with that hashtag. It's useful in recent or ongoing events. But I want to search the most rettoted post in any given space of time or something like that but cannot find my way to it.

I've been looking around for a solution on why GIFs from Gboard are failing to be added on posts from the phone. Unfortunately I've only found old entries on GitHub and web searches with no answer.

Just wanted to check in with the community here to see if anyone else ran into this problem and might have a answer.

I've tested this with the latest versions of Mastodon's official android app and Tusky's from a Pixel 6 phone with the same error. Server is on v4.1.2
