First off want to say I thoroughly enjoy the "bad cooling ideas" series and the overclocking stuff.

But watching ya'll insulate the motherboards with Vaseline for the socket hurts to watch.

Speaking for the XOC community who's been doing this thing for 2 decades plus. It's probably caused ya'll more harm than good. Even with the ILM applying a ton of mounting pressure, Vaseline and other finger greases etc especially on modern CPUs/RAM contacts, due to the signal integrity they run at can cause major instability even at JEDEC.

Living in a 80%+ high humidity environment, you don't need vas in the socket. Once you go sub zero the condensation you do have to look out for is around the socket, not the socket itself. Even with the CPU dumping tons of heat.

Hope to see more video with crazy cooling stuff, and hopefully less Vaseline. ;D

"Intel employed 109,800 people at the end of 2024..... the company is pushing out around 24,000 people this year — shrinking Intel by roughly one-quarter." ....

"in Germany and Poland, where Intel was planning to spend tens of billions of dollars respectively on “mega-fabs”.... company will “no longer move forward with planned projects"

The newest exclusive is locked for me, asks me to upgrade to watch it. Or is it time gated for some reason?

As the title says, I'd love for them to have both (or just the commuter) backpacks on set for laptop showcases.

It would prevent scenarios like the MBP 16-inch fiasco where we didn't know until we had both products in hand if the laptop would fit inside or not.

It's also a natural hook for lttstore.com

EDIT: I've realized that it's only on videos about monitors and kind of answered my own question as to why these videos are 60fps, the last two ShortCircuit videos were on displays and recency bias was taking hold.

I noticed recently that motion on monitors in ShortCircuit videos was looking noticeably clearer in some of the new videos. I decided to check on the Samsung monitor video that game out on ShortCircuit just a few hours ago and sure enough 60fps was an option.

I remember an ex employee in the camera department didn't feel 60fps was necessary is this just a change since they have left LMG and there is a new camera department lead who likes shooting in 60fps?

I don't expect an answer just something I noticed.

Original Title: Anker/Eufy/AnkerMake/EufyMake is no longer making some spare parts for their M5C 3D printer, which was released less than 2 years ago with an MSRP of $399. Hotends are a VERY COMMON consumable part to need to replace for a 3D printer and affordable OEM options are vital. We NEED right to repair laws

I am looking for a video where Linus is beaming ethernet a decent distance with small optical transceivers. AI tells me it was called “Can you beam Ethernet across the room?” but I can't find it or the product anywhere. does anyone know where I can find the video?

Edit: I now believe that I may be mixing it up with this (PeakDo Wireless HDMI) video and hallucinated an ethernet version of it that looked like a different device. Thanks for all the help!
