Mostly, they check if you've actually used it and when you have not, they refund you stuff. Just did this for something on top of Prime, I cancelled Prime immediately, but forgot to cancel the extra - that charged 3 months and now it's fully refunded.

I always found myself mixing up my coffee with someone else's when making it, or swopping lunches when carrying them. That stopped when I made the decision to ALWAYS keep my stuff in my left hand, and other people's in my right hand (or on my right side) when carrying or making things.

It works for groups too: If handling multiple items/orders/meals, line them up left-to-right in order of ownership (yours always starts on the left).

Once you train yourself, you’ll never waste brainpower on "whose is whose?" again. Making two coffees? Yours goes left, theirs right. Carrying lunches? Left hand holds yours, right hand theirs.

Does anyone else resonate with being the person who’s always had creative, great ideas but can’t seem to follow through on execution?

I’ve had a couple business ideas / projects from my early 20s that I never took to completion that still haunt me to this day. I just turned 29. How can I turn this habit around? Is it too late to change?

A laundry hack I learned from my mom. I spilled kimchi on a white t-shirt and washing it wasn’t doing the job…I’d still see an orange spot. But laying out the shirt in the sun for a few hours completely dissolved the stain!

My mom had $300 in random checks that were waiting for her to be claimed, every state will have a database where you can search your name to see if anything is available for you, this is my state’s (California’s) just to show an example https://www.sco.ca.gov/search_upd.html

Just throw it in with regular detergent & a little bit of bleach.

Then, just run it on a heavy setting. You can put in a few towels to help kind of scrub the mold off, but it's optional. Do not put it in the dryer.

No more mold & your shower will smell great.

Go to your email client and search for the following terms, double check, select all, and delete, to free up some email box storage:

  1. "Your verification code"
  2. "Now login"
  3. "Your OTP"
  4. "Your confirmation code"
  5. "Did you just login"
  6. "Login attempt"

and so on

Keep a gym bag in your car with your gym clothes and a towel (unless your gym provides towels) and a toiletry kit. Walk in the gym with it. Do your thing and then shower there. Use your stuff, walk out just like you walked in.

For me, having to get dressed and wander around the house finding stuff to get ready to go killed it completely. It absolutely destroyed momentum. It killed the idea of going. Sometimes it's difficult to make yourself go. Having to wander around and find stuff is an absolute dead end.

The gym bag method works. If you feel the need to whine about the gym showers being somehow less than perfect or whatever other whiny complaint, then you're just making excuses.

The gym is the fountain of youth. Every time I leave, I feel better physically and mentally. No exception, not a single one. Your brain tries to trick you into not going. I don't know why. It's kind of amazing. So get in the door! Getting in the door is the entire battle.

The best thing you can do for a friend you suspect is starting to experiencing abuse is start collecting any evidence right away. Write journal entries and email to yourself, collect sound bites, pictures, etc. There's a great chance your friend won't want to hear your advice or opinions on the matter and will reject and need to realize what's happening on their own. As denial is a comom theme for victims of abuse theres a chance they don't have enough or even any evidence of abuse especially if its psychological. Once they are ready, having a paper trail ready for them to use is a huge gift.

If you spend any amount of time typing, text for an internet form, always copy the text elsewhere (notepad, or word for example), before sending. I dont know how many times I forgot something on the form and when pressing send, my carefully crafted text would disappear as the form would reset. This tip has saved me much much grief.

I’ve been attending a lot of free conferences recently and it made me think that if someone was struggling to feed themselves it’s a great place to go. If you’re in a city, there’s bound to be something happening most days, and depending on the level of sponsorship they normally offer anything from pastries & coffee, to fully catered lunch and an open bar in the evening.

Action is always better than inaction. Don’t overthink the consequences, just start now whatever you were planning. Whether it’s a side hustle or your business or even trying for your dream job, just do it, not today, right now! You regret ‘not doing’ or ‘not starting’ more than mistakes. Remember this: Doing it first -> Then doing it right -> Then doing it better

Once a month, pretend you're a guest visiting your own home for the first time. Take note of what needs fixing, what's missing, and what's out of place. This external perspective reveals issues that your brain has filtered out due to familiarity. Also, ask your friends for their opinions when they visit to gain additional insights!

One of the biggest reasons people “fail” at new habits is starting too big. You decide you’re going to go to the gym for an hour every day, meditate 20 minutes, cook from scratch every night… and then after a few days or weeks, you burn out.

Instead, make the first version of the habit so ridiculously easy that it feels almost silly to skip.

– Want to exercise? Commit to 5 pushups a day.

– Want to read more? Just read one page before bed.

– Want to meditate? Sit for 1 minute.

Once you’re consistent, you can build on it naturally. But the hard part is showing up not how much you do.

Small wins add up faster than big failures.

One of the most annoying parts of a move for me, is remembering all the places that hold my address that I need to change.

In the few months leading up to a move, take note of which companies you receive mail from so you'll have a solid list of where you need to update your new address!

There's often times I've had something break and had to spend time and effort to figure out if it was still in warranty. Ever since doing this I get a nice one month notification when something's about to go out of warranty and it gives me a chance to check it and make sure there's nothing worn or busted on it before that happens.

I don’t live near a gym, so developing a good exercise routine has been tough. I scored a few simple pieces of equipment in great condition for very cheap on a buy & sell app. This has made it convenient and affordable for me to incorporate exercising at home into my daily routine. There’s no way I would have bought the same equipment at full price, being unsure if I would use it in the long term.

Try this the next time before making a decision. Just lie down, legs up the wall and arms relaxed. This calms down your nervous system and helps drain lymph fluid, slows your thoughts, and clears mental fog way faster than another scroll or caffeine hit.

It looks silly, but it works. Your brain (and lower back) will thank you.

Put droplets of essential peppermint oil in trash bins, near windows, dishwasher, drains, near fruit, etc. It keeps any stray flies from getting to curious and potentially staying long term and making families. Also smells really good!

Feeling stuck, stressed, or unsure what to do? Open a blank page and write:

"Dear me, it's January 2026. Here's what I wish you had done back in July 2025..."

By stepping into your future mindset, you're tapping into long-term thinking — which helps override panic, short-term fear, and impulsive choices.

This trick rewires your brain to think with perspective, and often, the "future you" knows exactly what needs to happen.

✅ Great for major life decisions, breakups, burnout, career stress, or identity crises.

🧠 Bonus: It feels like getting advice from your wiser self — and it usually works.

I frequently find what is the weight marked on produce and meats is incorrect. I weighed a chuck steak and found it was almost 8oz less than stated. At $8.97/pound that is almost $4.00 difference. Peppers I weighed were 0.73 pounds not the specified 1 pound. I would have paid $0.72 for missing product. These are just a couple examples. Weigh your purchases and if you find discrepancies speak with management. That’s the only way things will change so that you fully get what you’re paying for.

I found some old crusty grenadine in my liquor cabinet and was going to throw it out but I decided to add a splash of it to my apple cider vinager, pinch of sugar, drop of dawn dish soap gnat trap. It worked amazingly, they were drawn to the trap and died faster that the previous batch with no grenadine. I did it again in case the first time was fluke. Same result. Just wanted to share a cheap addition to your gnat trap that might help if you're kitchen is like mine and has lots of produce on the counters.
