Connect for Lemmy App

Two related questions. When I select an inbox reply sometimes it takes me to the comment context (great!) bi other times it takes me to some other random comments on the same thread and I can't even find my original comment. The other question is how the heck do I search the comments? The search function doesn't seem to do this?

Gives error "person_not_found". This is a local conversation. I tried adding the domain but didn't help. Using the beta.

For some reason, when I try to reply to msgs... formatting the text doesn't work.

Anyone else having this problem?

Edit: If you change your font size in settings to larger...formatting won't work. This was the problem I was having.

Next to the comment counter, I can't seem to figure out what the bracketed number indicates. For a second I thought it meant new comments, but I've seen some posts that have 2 (+2) and when I open it, it still only has 2 comments.

Excellent app, and possibly the most stable on a slightly outdated tablet.

I would like to know how to add or erase instances listed, or are users limited to the three you offer (lemme.ee, lemmy.world, and lemmy.ca)

I have a custom/private instance I use the web interface with for a small group of developers, and cannot for the life of me figure out how to add it to connects list. Plus, I don't use lemm.ee or lemmy.ca, so I would like to remove them.

Could someone point me in the right direction?

Would it be possible to have the next comment appear in the same position as the previous comment when using the navigation feature? Currently, when pressing the 'Next' button, the next comment defaults to the center of the screen. I think it would make navigating comments easier if it stays in the same spot. Thanks in advance!

If you customize the Post Swipe Actions in v101 they don't work anymore.

I have them set to:

-upvote -downvote -reply

And none of them work

From the front page/local/all, the reply button allows me to reply to the thread but shows none of the current replies. This will be a problem if we pick up steam; humans aren't that creative. The number of times people will give the same reply will be higher because of this.

Also, it is this unclear where to click to access the replies? Am I alone here? I touch slightly to the left of the reply button to access the comment sections, but it is finicky.

Touch a little higher and you get the user, or the community.

These links/buttons need to be better separated, and more clear for a better UX. It's often a lot of clicking back and forth to get where I intended to go.

Dadjokes@lemmy.world said they just had 10k subscribers but the count next to the search results on the left hand navigation menu shows much smaller numbers

I think both counts (vote and comment) are important for a quick check on community interest in a post and I often rely on both to filter content. The new version now places the two counts on the opposite ends, making it difficult to glean both info in one glance. Would it be possible to have an option to put the two counts close together?

The past couple updates whenever I'm browing "all" with sort set to "hot" the first few pages of scrolling is accurate but then it turns to posts that are 6months-2years old. This is only after 1-2 minutes of scrolling. Has anyone else had this issue?

I am consistently double tapping the upvote and downvote buttons because the new animation takes so long to trigger after press.

Not sure if it's something in my settings, a bug or the feature was removed, but I can't seem to collapse comments anymore. That's a bummer. Anyone else having this problem or more info on it?

Edit: So in different comment thread it suddenly worked again. Guess it's a bug.

Description: When opening the app I get the following error.

Exception: no routes for location: https:// lemmy.world/c/coys>

I can't move on from here, just close the app. There is a Home button below the error but it doesn't do anything.

What I did: I had set /c/coys as default on favorites thinking it might sort the favorites list how I wanted. When it didn't I couldn't un-default (is that a word 😛) so in all my brilliancy I unsubscribe to /c/coys and then resubscribed.

What I tried: I cleared app cache, did not help.

I rather not make a second account if I can, so can you please put a grouping function so we can group communities together with their own front page tab.

Been enjoying connect so far, thanks for the hard work.

First of all, I am sure the dev is sick of my posts. I will feed him more caffeine just in case. ;)

1. A spinner for when an external URL is loading. (Long loads just show a white screen.)
2. "Are you sure?" buttons when exiting edit screens. I might be making things up, but can't double check because I am editing. Lulz.)

I scrolled through most of the post, then wanted to checkout the "subscribed " post. So to navigate to the "menu", I had to scroll all the way back up for the app " header" to show up./

Can we make the header show up when scrolling through the feed?

I'll be zoomed in on an image and trying to pan through it and it closes out immediately. Can we disable this? I have a back button I'd rather use :)

Pretty much as the title says. When I click on inbox, it only shows the most recent 10 messages.

Could you please make the navigation bar transparent? At the moment it doesn't follow the rest of the apps theme. Thanks.

On v1.0.98 and started seeing this. The app has been fine. Cleared cache and data and problems persist.

That's kinda' it. I'm on Android. My volume buttons don't do anything when the app is open.

When a URL is added, Connect should be able to automatically populate the title and a summary for the body. Kbin does this and it makes it much easier to post links.

If I click on a link within a post, the web view opens but nothing is happening since the latest beta.

Is it working for everyone else?
