Rules
0. Only post socialist memes
That refers to funny image macros and means that generally videos and screenshots are not allowed. Exceptions include explicitly humorous and short videos, as well as (social media) screenshots depicting a funny situation, joke, or joke picture relating to socialist movements, theory, societal issues, or political opponents. Examples would be the classic case of humorous Tumblr or Twitter posts/threads. (and no, agitprop text does not count as a meme)

We require alternative text (from now referred to as "alt text") to be added to all posts/comments containing media, such as images, animated GIFs, videos, audio files, and custom emojis.
EDIT: For files you share in the comments, a simple summary should be enough if they’re too complex.
We are committed to social equity and to reducing barriers of entry, including (digital) communication and culture. It takes each of us only a few moments to make a whole world of content (more) accessible to a bunch of folks.

Try to keep an open mind, other schools of thought may offer points of view and analyses you haven't considered yet. Also: This is not a place for the Idealism vs. Materialism or rather Anarchism vs. Marxism debate(s), for that please visit c/AnarchismVsMarxism.
2. Anti-Imperialism means recognizing capitalist states like Russia and China as such
That means condemning (their) imperialism, even if it is of the "anti-USA" flavor.
3. No liberalism, (right-wing) revisionism or reactionaries.
That includes so called: Social Democracy, Democratic Socialism, Dengism, Market Socialism, Patriotic Socialism, National Bolshevism, Anarcho-Capitalism etc. . Anti-Socialist people and content have no place here, as well as the variety of "Marxist"-"Leninists" seen on lemmygrad and more specifically GenZedong (actual ML's are welcome as long as they agree to the rules and don't just copy paste/larp about stuff from a hundred years ago).
4. No Bigotry.
The only dangerous minority is the rich.
5. Don't demonize previous and current socialist experiments or (leading) individuals.
We must constructively learn from their mistakes, while acknowledging their achievements and recognizing when they have strayed away from socialist principles.

6. Don't idolize/glorify previous and current socialist experiments or (leading) individuals.
Notable achievements in all spheres of society were made by various socialist/people's/democratic republics around the world. Mistakes, however, were made as well: bureaucratic castes of parasitic elites - as well as reactionary cults of personality - were established, many things were mismanaged and prejudice and bigotry sometimes replaced internationalism and progressiveness.

- Rape or assault
- Genocide/ethnic cleansing or (mass) deportations

A long web comic, originally in rage comic form. The capitalist pig "Porky" is edited on top. The other person is the "Okay." rage face from 2011, where the person looks dejected and depressed, unable to do anything about the situation. The "Okay" guy has an arrow pointing towards them saying "The American People". The conversation is as follows:
Porky: We do not care that you people elected Gore, W.Bush is your president. / Okay.
Porky: We didn't find those WMDs, whatever. We'll invade Afganistan this time. War machine needs more budget. Don't worry, you won't see anything. / Okay.
Porky: We will nt protect your jobs. Why should we? IT'S A FREE MARKET. China builds phones cheaper. Don't you like a cheaper iPhone? / Okay.
Porky has gotten a bit bigger, about 10% bigger than the previous images.
Porky: Do you ant FREE HEALTHCARE? Is that what you want? Socialism? If you are poor without a job you deserve to die faster. Ever heard of Darwin? / Okay.
Porky: Global warming? it will not be our children that will die of that. It'll be those third world. Again, why should we give a fuck? KEEP PUMPING AND BURNING THE OIL and shut up. / Okay.
Porky has now gotten twice as big as he was when he started. Two "Okay." faces are added to the following line, only one like before continues.
Porky: Goldman Sachs et al needs 700 billion in bonuses to save your ass. / Okay. Okay.
Porky: Btw, fuck those lazy fat overpaid Public Workers. We don't care that they teach your child or protect your family. Someone has to pay for this weak economy, so fuck the Unions. You wanna compete with China? That's your chance. / Okay.
Porky is now about 2.5 times as big, with the Human "Okay." face being half of its original size.
Porky: Stop hining about your fading Middle Class. There are only Two Classes: Ours and the rest. At least you have television to dream to be like us. And yes, We will torture Private Manning to oblibion beacuse we can. No one fucks us.
Porky: Citizens Rights? Is that a joke? Do you ant a Patriot Act Part II? Your freedom is what we say it is. Deal with it. / Okay.
Porky: Remember, if you start to question us we'll hunt you down as a terrorist. We own the Media. We own the Feds. We own the Military. We own Congress. And you don't own shit. Don't forget that. / Okay.
The "Okay." face is now 10% the size was at the start, with Porky being 3 times larger than he started.

On May 5th, 1818, Karl Marx, hero of the international proletatiat, was born. His revolution of Socialist theory reverberates throughout the world carries on to this day, in increasing magnitude. Every passing day, he is vindicated. His analysis of Capitalism, development of the theory of Scientific Socialism, and advancements on dialectics to become Dialectical Materialism, have all played a key role in the past century, and have remained ever-more relevant throughout.
He didn't always rock his famous beard, when he was younger he was clean shaven!
