The results show the SLP leading in 14 of the 17 districts, confirming a new term for Prime Minister Philip Pierre.
Early results show the prime minister leading the vote in these snap elections, although the counting process continues district by district, with a measurement that, in many cases, exceeds 50 percent of the count.
President Nicolás Maduro reaffirmed his loyalty to the Venezuelan people and the Bolivarian project during the swearing-in of the Integral Bolivarian Commands, in an event supported by a massive mobilization and the PSUV as the organized force of the revolution.
The measure is in response to reciprocal action by Beijing and will take effect immediately, extending until September 14, 2026.
The president stated that the threats from the United States have not succeeded in derailing Venezuela, "they will never derail us from the path of building the powerful nation that this people deserves."
