Source: The Witchcraft of Spinning Wheel (by A. Shipwright - ArtStation)

Description

You foolish child, the lazy one.
You are making a great mistake out of your youth.
Magic is not about efficiency.
Magic is art.
The form you have achieved itself is a new path,
but there's no philosophy nor introspection in it, only expediency.
If you merely rely on that, the magic will punish you someday.

Source: Project Mese - The Wiatch (by Marton Adam Marton - ArtStation)

Description

Project Mese is my ongoing personal project themed around Hungarian mythology, fairy tales and superstitions.
As I'm developing the story of Mese I'm shaping its inhabitants, and now I feel comfortable to show some of the character designs with you.
The Wiatch
2.0 version of this design:
ArtStation - The Wiatch

She's like a witch, a specialist of the dark arts, just with more seductive powers. She provides special abilities, dark gifts for those who seek it in exchange for their life-force, shortening their lives and give unnaturally long life for the Wiatch. The life-force keeps her young and sexy, but if she is not satisfied she'll slowly turn into an old, unfriendly hag called Banya.

Source: BABA YAGA (by Sasha Ristic Krieger - ArtStation)

I was pushing on the Baba Yaga concept based on illustration of Petar Meseldzija

Original drawing

I could not find the drawing online. According to the description in a different post, it seems to be from Petar Meseldžija's sketchbook.
