This short documentary showcases the best of the 1967 National Hockey League season, set to music in the Tijuana Brass style. Filmed with an eye to grace and style of movement, the film suggests the bullring as much as the hockey arena.

Surprisingly great quality footage from way back in the 60's. That's film for ya.

He's now the only NHL player to have had his contract bought out by 2 different teams.

Some clarity here: Philadelphia put Tony DeAngelo on waivers to buy out his contract. It is not a termination. So, assuming he clears tomorrow, DeAngelo will be a free agent.

Just under 2 weeks after the Coyotes signed Galchenyuk, they've placed him on unconditional waivers to terminate his contract.

NEWS: Scottsdale Police Department has confirmed to The Athletic that Alex Galchenyuk was arrested on July 9 on a number of charges including private property hit and run, disorderly conduct, failure to obey, resisting arrest, Threatening or Intimidating

Several team execs, sponsors and player agents tell me they are bracing for the NHL's possible release of an investigation report re an alleged sexual assault involving as many as eight players on Canada's 2018 world juniors team. If NHL names and suspends players allegedly involved, affected players would likely appeal any sanctions to an arbitrator, as per CBA, and may pursue defamation lawsuits vs league, said agent of one player who attended 2018 Hockey Canada gala. (While an investigating officer in October wrote in court documents he believes there are grounds to charge at least five players, police in London continue to decline comment other than to say an investigation is ongoing.)

So last night, while dreaming, I was arguing with someone that "I didn't used to be this bad at hockey", and they didn't believe me. So I pulled up my NHL stats. Between age 35 and 40 I was the Jets 7th Dman, played 42 games, and had 20 points. They still didn't believe, so they pulled up YouTube looking for video clips. The first hit was "Unrau's defensive blunder costs Jets game 6 and the series."

Bettman says he's okay if you want to bring back the rule against forward passes, he doesn't mind if you want to revert to old-school icing, he just demends you keep it to one rule change; you know, evolution is better than revolution...

Good morning hockey fans! It's still a good bit before pre-season, but I've been working on a bot for the flyers community and would like some feedback on what everyone would find useful. Based on tests it should be ready to go once pre-season rolls around. It pull stats/standings /live scores at the moment. If there's other features (or more information you would like to see on the existing ones), please let me know so I can make sure to have it finished before the start of the season!

I'd also love feedback from any community mods that want to use the bot for any way to make it easier for you to do so! Right now it can be installed through python's pip command or through docker
