I am brand new to mobile gaming lol.

I have done some searching around but I'm unable to find anything that suits my interests.

I prefer games that are MMORPG or RPG the most (recently uninstalled Diablo Immortal for many reasons). However, I am open to any and all suggestions.

This is hilarious. Blizzard created Diablo Immortal with the express purpose of getting their foot into the Chinese market. Then some genius at Blizzard had the brilliant idea to make a post on Weibou (a social network in China) to make fun of Xi Jinping:

Welp, there goes that Tencent money. Couldn't have happened to a nicer company, too.

First they force everyone on a microshit account, then ban you from your own server for drinking a beer...

GODDAMNIT EVERYTHING MICROSOFT TOUCHES TURNS TO SHIT.

I'd like to see a mod that adds stamina to workers; add the ability for workers to overthrow your control; or allow workers to take control of the tribe.

Is there a mod that adds a communist country as a tribe? (Like the Soviet Union.)

Game manuals were popular in the 80s and 90s; but they are rarely made in the current year.

The cute, portable, and banana yellow $179 Playdate console is now shipping to its first batch of preorder customers, so we're now free to review the quirkiest gaming system in years.

Looks wonderful. Which house are you going to join?

I use lutris and steam.

I'm thinking about making a game launcher in LISP that uses YAML files to manage games.

In 2017, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild released and is generally considered one of the greatest games of all time. The game had a surprisingly big impact on the industry by introducing a new genre: true open world games.

In short, a true open world game is where you're dropped into a world and can go in any direction you want. The game is more minimalist than most, there are no quest markers or level scaling and you're not forced to go in a specific direction. You're free to explore the world without having a sense of direction, tackling its challenges and discovering new things at your own pace and in any order.

And now a new challenger comes in: Elden Ring. This game takes BotW as its inspiration and (imo) really excels where the other one lacks. There are so many unique events and interesting places in the world, with interesting rewards and an awesome sense of scale. I looooove finding caves and catacombs and having no idea what rewards are inside, whether it's a cool set of armor, new spells, spirits, or maybe some talismans. Not all the rewards are useful obviously, but they usually find a way to be interesting (like a talisman that makes you stronger around poison). It just genuinely feels like you're exploring a world for the first time, something I never felt in other open world games.

Dark souls is also my favorite series of all time so I might be a bit biased lmao

What do you think of this new genre/trend? Are you a fan of these new types of open world games or do you prefer the older ones like Far Cry 3? Do you prefer more linear games? I wonder which company is going to try this next.

I have been in love with mouse acceleration ever since I discovered RawAccel; it's nice to be able to flick to quickly flick and have slow aim as a gradient.

  • In Team Fortress 2 I can easily adapt to different aim styles; classes have different aim styles, so aim adaptability is useful.

  • In Enter The Gungeon I can quickly peak at enemies and change my aim.

Why is mouse accel still hated?!

I would really like to ditch Steam in favour of a native GTK application which integrates better with my system and which is also libre software.

Does anyone know how well it works? Can I truly replace the Steam client with this or does it still have a lot of lacking features?

Optillusion is a new indie developer that just released its first game today, and it's a doozy. This game is called Moncage, and it's a drop-dead gorgeous puzzler that offers a uniquely interesting mechanic.

You see, the whole game takes place in a cube that you can rotate, and each side offers unique imagery. In order to solve the game's puzzles, you'll rotate this cube to line up the perspective of the cube's imagery. The goal? To collect photos of your perfectly aligned imagery, which reveals the story of the game. Moncage is an interactive optical illusion puzzle game, and not only is the presentation superb, but the gameplay is also a hoot that's perfect for play on a touchscreen.

It's also available on Steam Games for desktops.

Depending on whom you ask, PC Building Simulator is either utterly ridiculous or incredibly satisfying. You can decide for yourself by downloading this niche simulator for free from the Epic Games Store before October 17th.

Like the majority of sim games, PCBS speaks to a very specific type of fantasy. If your idea of a good time is overclocking your computer while managing a small business, this is a game that does exactly that.
