I’m hoping to design a logo that that is recognizable as both the archtype of healer from the context of gaming; but also as a symbol for the irl field of medicine.

I know I’ve seen some awesome examples in the past, but now that I’m actively looking for them, all I’m finding are a bunch of crosses, potion bottles, etc.

The one that stands out as a good example is Skyrim’s school of restoration logo:

^reminiscent of the Caduceus, which is universally recognized irl; but also uniquely Skyrim’s.

That said, Skyrim’s is kinda just a bird: hoping to find more intricate samples so that I can steal and combine the bits I like.

If you know of any cool healer logos from a videogame, please point me to it!

Thanks all!

Title pretty much self-explanatory!

I'm a big fan of TES and Fallout series, obviously excited for Starfield but was wondering how long do you guys think it will take until we see some bug fixes and general QoL mods to make the experience better there.

Was it too long after Skyrim released that the mods started to appear?

I've been having ongoing issues with multiple games failing to sync my cloud save status ever since the Steam Deck was first released. I am currently attempting to get Steam to download my RetroArch sync'd saves and have had to force it to start redownloading at least a dozen times to even get that far.

Do any of you have any tips on how to more effectively solve this issue? This issue affects at least 2 dozen of the games in my library and my current path is not really time-efficient at all.

I saw it in IronPineapple latest video, and it really deserves more attention.

I absolutely love how art style, narrative and gameplay all synergyze to achieve flippant and dashing feel.

Gameplay itself is especially amazing. It could be most closely compared to Sekiro, with parry regular attack / dodge red attack fencing, and even this part is very satisfying. But it also introduces usage of environment, which makes fights against multiple enemies massively more satisfying. Generally in such games fighting multiple opponents is nothing more then annoyance. This game acknowledges the problem of having running around until enemies get properly separated, and gives you tools to separate them in style.

Also I really appreciate in combat and postmortem dialog, sometimes featuring appropriate movie references.

If it sound like something up you alley, I recommend you to check demo on steam for yourself.

If you ask me, the fact that it requires a PS5 makes it a non starter. I was really hoping for a standalone handheld, maybe not as powerful as the PS5, but something to compete with the Switch and Steam Deck. Like the PSP was a less powerful PS2 but still a standalone handheld providing a console like experience. Or even a phone handheld, the N-Gage was ahead of its time!

I'd recommend Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition. Go check it out if you haven't yet.

If you have, why don't you have a pork bun in your hand?

It didn't work in the video but It does work if you have the right timing.

For some time, Fortnite has had a habit of closing after a few minutes of play, sometimes as early as the first game and sometimes after 2/3. Now this extends to Warzone too.

The error messages are no help to be honest, no error codes, nothing. I suspect it might be the graphics card, but I don't know how to confirm that either. I have an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super.

Edit: Problem solved, thanks to @pezmaker@sh.itjust.works, it was the RAM, twice already that Amazon delivers me a defective one. I've put the old one back in and no more problems.

I had a lot of fun with this game but the developers have made the very weird decision of temporarily shutting down the game until next year.

The devs said they're going to rebuild parts of the game and add way more content and do a sort of "soft reboot". They announced this plan in March, but the game has officially shut down today.

Hello! The Vindictus subreddit hasn't migrated over yet, and isn't listed in sub.rehab. They have an official discord, but I thought if anything, it could be helpful to reference it here as well - with intent to spread more awareness about Lemmy / Fediverse

In June 2021, I wrote a massive returning player breakdown guide for the MMO, Vindictus. Sadly, I retired (for good) in Jan 2022, so I was not able or willing to maintain the guide. I mentioned this in the discord, but got no bites. It's a pretty small community, but the ones still there are pretty active afaik

So, since it's outdated but still useful in some ways, I decided to throw it in google docs so that I can eventually transfer ownership, and then they could possibly update & post it in the best location for their community (which I hope won't be reddit, but might stay with google docs)

Anyway, here is the guide in view-only. I will post in the official discord about this and bulk-rewrite all my comments once all my useful posts/comments are migrated. Let me know if you guys think I should do anything else for this transfer :)

Really looking forward to this! I don't know if they've published a target release date before, but if development has reached a point where the end is visible, that seems like a massive milestone in and of itself.

Hey all, just got to tier 3 and now I have to go find aspects for my build. What are the best ways to farm for them? Should I just do the dungeons on the maps over and over or are there better options?
