I was just wondering: Can I start a new character with one of the premade characters and continue from where I am at in my current campaign? I love all the premade characters and would love to make a party only out of them and kick out my custom character. Any way to do this?

I was looking to buy a new laptop for some time (have even asked your help), and finally I went with an Acer Nitro 5 . I got it 2 days ago and so far, I'm fully satisfied.

Specs:

Intel core i7 12650H (only goes to 4.0GHz due to thermals), an 150W RTX 3070ti (which does go to full 150W, no thermal issues there), a 1Tb SSD, 1440p 165Hz display that looks super good, 57Wh battery(yeah).

In setting up the laptop I did face some visual glitches when I installed Intel graphics drivers from Intel's official website... Had to reinstall Acer drivers to fix it (weird). Otherwise no bugs. Even installed Linux. Got 4hrs battery life that way.

I tried running 3dMark Time spy and have added the results in the post. modern games are yet to test.

What do you guys think? Should I check anything else? Would you like to see something else running on it?

I haven't hacked my Switch.

It got bricked right after restarting.

I'll be doing a workshop in a few weeks, and I wanna raise awareness about predatory lootbox paytowin games. I wanna play live, an easy to start playing and understand game, that is so sneaky and predatory that some kid would very easily buy some microtransaction or lootbox without even realizing what they just did.

Basically I wanna play it like "Ohhh, look at this game, looks so fun, oh, what is this? more gems? lets see, Nooooo!!!!! I just bought a microtransaction, I won't be able to eat for a month"

I know the battery is shit, planning to check the thunderbolt port to use an external power bank. But other than that the specs seem awesome, the reviews also say the same. There's just no other deal that gives a display like this with the specs. I hope the build quality is good, I've bought an external extended warranty, so the risk is minimised (I hope).

What do you guys think? This is my first gaming laptop. Is there anything I should do first on receiving? Any ideas how to extend the provided battery's life? Is Win10/11 better for this hardware? Can I use it for like the next 4 years?

I'm subscribed to multiple RSS feeds from different websites but I really feel like not all those pages cover the news in an objective way.

gamingonlinux is a great place for example, but it mainly covers things related to Linux, Proton and Steam, and I would like to see news on different topics, but I don't like most of the sites I am subscribed because they usually abuse a lot of the same subject and it's tired to have my RSS loaded with news that I'm not interested in reading at first.

It would be great if you can suggest me sites that talk about gaming on general, whether PC, consoles and in general all franchises, not just those of a certain developer.

I think bars should have #gaming #karaoke nights; people take turns playing whatever #videoGames they are good at on a projector for the whole bar to watch. Get a drag queen to be "Master of Controllers" describing the action and calling up new players.
